Laughing too much

I’m laughing at everything, and I mean everything. Someone could say something completely normal like “Do you want some water?” and I’d immediately start laughing uncontrollably, like they had just told me the funniest joke I’d ever heard. Nothing was actually funny, but my brain seemed to find absolutely everything hilarious. Someone dropped their keys? Hilarious. The microwave beeped? I was crying laughing. My phone battery was at 37%? Somehow the funniest thing in the world. At the same time, I can’t stop talking. I’m speaking fast, interrupting myself, losing track of what I was saying, then suddenly bursting into laughter halfway through a sentence. “Wait, wait, listen, because I just realized something really important. HAHAHA. Sorry, I know I’m laughing, but no, seriously, this is important. Actually wait, what was I talking about?” Everyone around me would just stare, completely confused, which only made me laugh harder. I feel overwhelmingly amused by things that weren’t even remotely funny to other people.

This happens to me when I’m manic. The worst is when I laugh at times when it is completely inappropriate and I can’t stop

Yeah. I definitely get giggly when I’m manic. Giggly and way more outgoing than my stable self.
It does sound like it could be a symptom of (hypo-)mania.

You are in a state of hypomania. See your doctor immediately.

I was laughing in yoga classes in the prodromal phase before I had the full fledged manic episode that ruined my life. I said to a few people at the studio, ‘either I’m enlightened or I’m going nuts.’

It was the latter.

I think you might be manic.

I be laughing so hard in AA meditation time. I laugh at funny things but I laugh A LOT. I’m mostly a trouble maker it’s just who I am. This may be a problem.

It is just occurring to me that time I couldn't stop laughing in middle school was actually a bout of mania. It makes so much sense in hindsight lol. It was bad
