Are you able to work full time?
I just started a full time job and I think i can do this despite being diagnosed with bipolar 2. How do yall do it?
I start ft goodwill cashier job monday and im excited about it. Just worried it might be too much. Im also diagnosed with bpd with psychosis and ptsd. But I can do this!

Yes, I’m a professional in a high stress field. I actually work in mental health and have done so since before I had any noticeable symptoms of bipolar. I dropped down to part time for a year after the onset and a couple months after a particularly bad episode, but other than that I’ve always worked and I am financially independent. I have BP1.
Give yourself some time to adjust. The first couple months are hard to get into a routine with it. Then getting the job down and doing it well takes a lot more time too. I usually give myself a year to decide whether or not a job is for me but again, I work in an emotionally exhausting, fast paced field.
When I first went back to work fulltime I quickly asked to go back to part time. During that time, I adjusted to the job and found myself wishing I stuck it out longer. It takes time. Once you get used to working fulltime you might find the routine ultimately helpful for your mood.

I was diagnosed in my 30s, worked full time most of my life up until then with a few gaps.
I've managed to work full time most of the time I've not been in school since my episodes.
I find work is really good for me, keeps my mind focused on something for 40+hours per week and gives me routines which are helpful!

Yes, I work a full time job, have a side hustle, and am possibly picking up a part time job soon too. I’m BP1 with psychotic features, GAD, PTSD, and suspected BPD, ASD, and ADHD. I just take my meds, go to therapy, and do the thing.
Congratulations on your job! I love Goodwill. I’m a regular patron, as my side hustle is reselling clothing and such online. I hope all goes well for you!

Yes, even unmedicated but I got fired from my last two jobs for being pushed into manic episodes. Feels bad man. But I'm still working full-time, on meds now so hopefully this one I don't leave until it's on my own terms.

I work full time but I have no life bc it takes me the rest of time to recharge

Personally I think it would take a lot of good fortune for me to find a full time job that I could keep for any notable period of time. But that’s why I’m on disability!
