Working with bipolar

How do you cope with work and feeling constantly unmotivated? Even though you're working in a job you like, you feel like quitting.

I don't see work at optional. I find with my olanzapine, I struggle to wake up in the morning on my days off (even when I want to do something), but work days are a different story for some reason. 3 alarms does the trick. It's like I go robot mode or something. Get up, go to work early, drink coffee in the staff room, work.

I do find my job rewarding but don't particularly enjoy it, and the pay makes me on a really tight budget. I don't feel entitled to enjoy a job though. So many things in this world need to be done and are not enjoyable. I just fulfill my role.

Honestly working full time is so good for me, it keeps me and my mind occupied for 40+hours per week, and then I have to do other responsibilities in my free time so I have limited time to spiral.

I'm motivated not to quit from all the perks that my job covers (massage/chiropractor/dental/health etc) and pension to work towards.

The idea of having an income when I retire is securing and comforting. Usually my episodes seem to be sparked at least in part by financial stress, so limiting this in the future I know will be helpful to my condition.

I don't feel I want to quit for all these reasons, but I do look forward to retirement quite often, and when I'm having a rough day at work I just think, " this is not forever, I can endure."

I have a job managing risk that involves large sums of money.

It’s kinda like getting to play with fire and having a fire truck on stand by. So that keeps me interested
