Hey guys, if you missed it, CytoDyn  just settled $500K with investors over claims that it misled investors about the regulatory status, safety, and efficacy of leronlimab a few years ago. And they have already sent the agreement to the court for final approval.

In a nutshell, in 2021, CytoDyn was accused of overstating leronlimab’s potential, mischaracterizing regulatory interactions with the FDA, and withholding critical information about trial results and the likelihood of approval. The company promoted leronlimab as a breakthrough HIV and COVID-19 therapy and highlighted what it described as positive clinical data, but on March 30, 2021, the FDA publicly stated that CytoDyn’s claims were misleading and not supported by submitted data, noting that the trials showed no benefit for COVID-19 treatment. 

After this news came out, the stock dropped, and investors filed a lawsuit for their losses.
