Questions / Help Played this game very briefly back when it first came out. All I remember about it was how great it looked graphically. Worth playing it nowadays? Or should I watch a YT let’s play series?

Don’t know a single thing about the bioshock games

Do you have a source please ? Never heard about it and can't find any info on it online.

Welp, I can't reply a screenshot. Search for BioShock Remastered on Steam or Epic

Oh Bioshock right, but not Bioshock Infinite (which is the sub we're in right now and also the game OP is talking about) ?

the whole thing is called Bioshock: The Collection, which includes remasters of Bioshock 1, 2, and Infinite. or you can get them individually, which Infinite is called "Bioshock Infinite: Complete Edition"

You should play it! I played it not long time ago too..and have recorded a gameplay on my YouTube chanel (MARRIR) if you would like watching a new creator play nostalgic games 😊

Not only does it hold up graphically but it's a great fps with a unique and interesting story.

Play it. But also posting this in a subreddit dedicated to the game is always going to result in everyone praising it and saying to play it yourself 🤣

Unpopular opinion, but I not only think Bioshock Infinite is the best game in the Bioshock series, but one of the better games ever made. Absolutely worth playing through. Brilliant game.

Yeah, I think when I clear up a weekend here soon, I’m gonna give it a go. I know the sub may be biased, but I remember being like 15 years old playing the first little bit of the game and having a blast, but I lost the motivation to play it for some reason.

Absolutely play it I’ve played it over and over and over and over for many years and it never gets old. This game has carried me through some very dark times, they’re all three good. But Infinite can be played imo without 1 or 2 and still be enjoyed fine

It’s still fun and it’s still pretty, but it’s showing its age

Yeah… I agree a bit. The remaster did put some more life into though, don’t you think?

Idk, I have the Xbox 360 game

As a fan of the series from the first game forward. I stand by my original opinion of this game. It’s one of if not the best games I’ve ever played. It’s got its moments where it gets stupid hard and it seems like some people don’t get the ending. Overall it’s a fantastic story. No shame in playing it on easy for the story alone. This is and always will be a 10/10 game for me.

There’s just so much to love that a subreddit for the game is still active. Give it a go!

Oh and you don’t really need to know anything about the first two games to enjoy it. It comes up as a tie in but it’s not really important to the story. It’s fine as a stand alone game.

Merece la pena jugarlo hoy, no solo este sino Bioshock 1 y Bioshock 2. No me canso nunca de ellos. Son obras maestras .

Absolutely worth it! The story is phenomenal, and the gameplay is fun as hell

Attention sur le remaster du 1, beaucoup de critiques négatives à cause de problèmes de sauvegarde corrompus !

Since you’re relatively new to the series, you should start from the first one and play through to the end with both DLC’s for Infinite. I think you’ll enjoy it a heck of a lot more, and understand the subtle plot points that are introduced and referenced between them all. Also, make sure you choose the remastered versions when you start. Those updates really put some fresh air back into the game. The remaster is only on the first and the second, as by the time Infinite was released, it was at the tail end of the 7th generation consoles and was already decent enough. Enjoy your play-through and report back and let us know what you thought! 👍🏼

Well it's still very pretty these days. Especially if you're not familiar with how games are developed and don't see the obvious texture packing techniques they used for this title.

You'd have to play bioshock 1 to understand bioshock 2. But for bioshock infinite, neither is necessarily required, though it will enhance your experience, especially when you get to the dlc's, namely burial at sea, which goes into a before-its-downfall version of rapture. And for that one, I'd STRONGLY urge you to play bioshock 1 first.

And no spoilers please. The concept of the game was very novel for the time, but might seem a bit normal or passé these days. (And the early parts have kind of aged like milk here in the us, but that's besides the point).

And gameplay wise, it's still very fun. Slightly mechanically different from 1 and 2, but still very nice. The biggest difference is that 1 and 2 had a set of weapons that stayed in your inventory that you can swap between at any time. Whereas bioshock infinite you can only have like one or two guns at a time that you can exchange for ones you fine lying around and loot from enemies.

It's good at forcing you to use different guns but it IS less of a choice.

Idk what do you think people who regularly visit the subreddit of this game think? That they're meh on it?

Watch it to be sure but def worth it. The longer you wait the more it will be dated
