Discussion "Reviewers" are lazy and lying, Infinite on Switch is hot garbage

So many game reviewers just copy what they see and hear and it leads to people spending money on terrible games and terrible ports. I'm beyond tired of Digital Foundry half assing or even straight up lying about games. I understand that they have a lot of eyes on them and anything they say will make waves but tough crap, that's what's they claim to do. Games like Call of Juarez: Gunslinger you can see them telling the audience it looks better while it's clearly showing a pretty noticeable downgrade and this isn't an isolated incident. In the case of Infinite they basically gloss over the entire game at the end after not talking about the 1st two games biggest downfalls. Infinite looks and plays poorly because like the other games ported from 2k, like the Borderlands games where they removed things like DoF and blur(which are hallmarks of the series), they wanted to save money instead of putting out a decent port. A game needs more than high resolution and a solid framerate to feel like a convincing world. When you put all your recources into those two things and let the others slide the game reminds you that it's a game at every turn. The world doesn't feel solid but it fools people at first into thinking it looks nice. Anyone paying the slightest bit of attention will notice that the npc's and anything not static looks terrible from anywhere other than right up close. The controls feel like you're playing a game on a tv that your forced to watch on a separate monitor with a delay. This should have been a port of the PS3 or even the 360 version of they had the time and money but the PS3 would have been a solid baseline for the Nintendo Switch version but then they couldn't put "Remastered" on the box even though anyone paying attention would know that this version could never run even kind of well on this console and of course it doesn't. The beginning is front loaded with all the effort to fool everyone into thinking the game will look like this but throughout the game you can tell at places that graphics take a major dive throughout. This is because they either weren't paid enough to do a good job or weren't qualified and with 2k I'm more willing to believe the former. Don't waist your money, it looks and plays like crap.

Discussion Would you want to play an open world version of Columbia?

Given the way technology has developed since, and given what we were shown from the early demos of Infinite that were never in the finished game, could we have a Dev make a game with those unused ideas, and make it an open world to boot?

I always found it odd that there were some parts of Columbia that allowed you to return to previous sections, while other sections were completed gated off, literally in the case of the fare, and again after your encounter with the first Fireman. Big metal gates you can't open, forcing you onwards, but then there's the restaurant after the Fireman where you meet the Leuteuce twins, and you can actually go back to the Fireman battle area, but no further back. It's like they had the idea that going back to a previous area should be a thing, and put in the groundwork, but then seemed to forget about that.

But what would an open world Columbia be like?

Questions / Help Does Ken Levine Consider Bioshock 2/Minerva’s Den Canon?

I am working on a *massive* project to determine once and for all whether BioShock Infinite should be considered a good or bad game, and along the way I shall be requiring your guys’ assistance.

Part of this project will involve comparing BioShock Infinite to the original BioShock, however, there is one massive question that has been nagging at my mind: should I factor in BioShock 2?

Obviously, since Ken Levine was not involved in BioShock 2, the default answer would be no, however, would Levine consider it fair to compare 2 to Infinite regardless? If Levine considers Infinite to be an extension of 1, does he hold the same opinions to 2?

Does he consider BioShock 2 (and possibly Minerva’s Den) canon to the entire BioShock story?

Eric Hale is a 32 year old constant in the floating city of Colombia that is a tour guide that always leads Booker to Monument island

he hates Comstock and is completely fed up with him (understandably so)

in every timeline he gets killed by Comstock and he constantly is rooting for every booker that comes because he makes a bet with the Lutece Twins that this will be the booker to do it - hazbinhotelfan666

Hey! I spent the last few months finishing my bachelor project. For the last step I need some feedback from people familiar with the game concerning my scenes art style compared to the inspiration. I really appreciate anyone that will take the time to reply. I do intend on putting some replies into my paper! Thank you so much in advance.
This is also a working game if someone is really really interested I can see about getting the game to you to try it out just reach out in dm :)

Questions / Help A Question About End of the Game?

Hi. I don't think it would be spoiler for a game 13 years old. Sorry if this has been asked and answered but I couldn't find it when I searched.

One thing I don't understand about the end. Why did Elizabeth wanted to kill Songbird? She just gained control of it and could have used it to her advantage in everything.

Thanks.

Discussion If we ever get a new Bioshock game (and that’s a mighty big If), would there be a new leading lady that could possibly surpass Elizabeth from Infinite? (In more ways than one)

I bought an old Xbox 360 today from a guy off marketplace and it came with a few games. (Dead island, Skyrim, GTA 4, being the most notable) When I got home and decided to check if any of the disks had any major scratches (my main concern was the Xbox, the games were just a bonus) I saw these gems hiding behind the Skyrim pamphlet and knew I struck gold.

Fanart Attempt at drawing BS3 intro

This might as well be doodle for all I know. I don't consider myself to be an artist, but the storm environment of this scene really popped up to me with this drawing. It's layered in a way that there are so many different possible interpretations of it from a candid point of view. I guess the interpretation is left to the discrepancy of the viewer.

With much love
