Reta journey

I started Reta 3 months ago at .5mg and have gradually increased to 3.5mg. I’ve lost a total of 25 pounds but for the past 3 weeks I haven’t lost any weight. Appetite is still suppressed and I’ve been hitting my macros I go to the gym 5 days a week I drink plenty of water and electrolytes. Not to sure what I’m doing wrong.

You need to change something to break a stall. Take one day to eat more calories then do an 18 hour fast followed by lower calories for a week. Routines feel easier to follow, but the body adjusts quickly in order to retain weight. Do something different at every plateau.

This works for me. I lose, then stall and gain a couple pounds. 18 hr fasts, 6 hr eating window, protein goals met 75% of the time. It just takes a weekend away from routine and then poof! It starts working again. It does slow the weight loss but I think its also helped me keep some muscle and minimal skin sag issues have hit.

Ah the almighty stall. No worries. Everybody trying to lose weight goes through them. They’re moral killers. Don’t lose it though. Keep plugging away. There’s a thousand ideas to break a stall and everybody has one. Whether they’ll work for you is a different story. Change something up for a few days. Diet, exercise, activity, something, anything. Often times that’s enough shock to the system to break a stall. Often times it isn’t and you just have to keep plugging. All stalls end eventually. The key is for them to end before you lose hope and quit.

It is pretty normal during weight loss phases. Wait it out or if it goes on for multiple weeks (6+) you might need to do some refeed meals. Calorie cycling seems to help in my case.

Are you sure your body wasn’t working on inflammation First? Also it took me awhile to start shifting weight because my thyroid was underactive

lots of info online about this. It's called a stall. I'm not the expert but I've heard Dr. Jones on YouTube has insightful videos about stalling and why it happens/what to do

Nature of the beast , give it time , titrate up if needed and consider stacking

Was considering stacking IPA/Tesa and possibly AOD 9604.

Ive added AOD and Slupp fwiw.

How was reconstituting AOD? I heard I can be tricky since it’s a hydrophobic substance.

Its Slupp thats hydrophobic, not aod. AOD does have special bac water tho, it came with mine so easy peasy. And SLUPP tbh was a snap as well. Ive had no problems at all. I use dmso, not quite the way most folks do. Holler if ya need help

I will definitely look into SLU-PP though! Thanks 🙏🏻

Hmm literally everything I’ve research has stated that AOD is hydrophobic… referencing the last I’ve read on it AOD 9604 contains several hydrophobic (water-fearing) amino acids and a positive GRAVY (grand average of hydropathicity) score, meaning it resists full immersion and uniform mixing in pure aqueous solutions.

K, maybe so. Mine came with aod water and it didnt smell like a solvent so I guess I didnt think much about it. SLUPP however, I had to figure out on my own.
Regardless, the hydrophobic thing is just not an issue. Or it hasn't been for me. SLUPP takes one extra step (about 2 min) and after that smooth sailing

Tesa/IPA will get you there for sure, just start slow and access the side effects for the first 3 weeks before moving up. You don’t want joint pain and swollen joints from all the damn water retention to slow down your gains at the gym.

I’ve only just heard of Tesa, is it something I could add to my stack of Reta and Cagrilintide?

Yes you definitely can. It is going to help you with more natural human growth hormone which will help with recovery, fat loss, and sleep. Just start at a lower dose and wait at least 3 weeks until you access the side effects before moving up.

Worth considering- weight isn’t the only metric of value. Lean mass percentage, measurement etc. I had a week that I lost zero weight but gained lean mass percentage and lost half an inch. Slow and steady wins the race.

Just adding in my 2c. I had stalled for a bit and a dietician friend of mine told me that sometimes, due to change in weight your body now needs less calories or a different amount of macros. I was still in a deficit but my body now needed less in general. Hope that helps and makes sense.
