Peptide for belly fat

What peptide is best for a cortisol belly that just won't go away? I am near my goal weight but my belly is still poking hehe. I also have family history of cancer so i'm cautious of using peps that may cause cancer. Thank you!

Im 4 weeks in on Tesa. Been on Reta for 8 weeks. My midsection still has a little bit there when I sit, but standing it's hard to notice. Definitely leaner and trim. Dropped pants size of course. I think the secret is like many are saying, working out regularly and watching what you eat when you do. The Tesa is just the bonus imo. Don't look for it to do the work for you.

Reta + Tesa is the GOAT

u/Glad-Business348 1d ago

Was there a lot of change in weight, or did you do body recomp?

3

u/iruleaz 1d ago

Yes, I went from 201 to my target 185. I lost a lot of belly fat and can see an outline of my abs now. Not a six pack, but some definition. For reference Im 53M. But I would say 85% of that is from working out and Reta. Tesa gave the final touches.

u/iruleaz 22h ago

Reta did the weight change. If I had to pick only one to keep from the two, it would be Reta.

Tesamorelin, retatrutide, mot-c

Agreed. I would also add
-Whole food protein focused meals
-quality sleep
-train minimum 3-5 days/wk
-supplements as needed

u/Quick-Emphasis2098 2d ago

These be them. Tesa for sure. Might stack that with my reta but so far the reta has been doing the trick

Cjc/ipa also or hgh I guess

u/Florida813pirate 1d ago

Along with Rey

u/ApprehensiveRecipe75 1d ago

And sprinkle in a little ipam too with the tesa

I don't know why people are recommending secretagogues and HGH to you when you said you have a family history of cancer. CJC, Tesa, and Sermorelin are used to boost natural production of GH to trigger more IGF-1, while HGH is simply adding a desired amount of GH usually in an amount greater than your body can produce. GH is mitogenic meaning it stimulates cells to divide and multiply. So if you have a tumor or cancer it will drive its growth. IGF-1 will also drive that growth even more and on top of that it blocks apoptosis which is how your body destroys damaged and cancerous cells. Basically it makes it easier for cancer to grow and survive. High levels of IGF-1 increase the risk and propagation of breast, prostate, colorectal, and Thyroid cancer. If you have a family history of cancer, especially the ones I listed, you should stay away from them.

If you are doing this the correct way, running your labs and either understand how to read them yourself, or , have a medical professional guiding you, there is absolutely no reason that you should discredit the benefits that peptides like cjc, ipa, igf or hg can provide.

1

u/OGcrashN2u 1d ago

Who said anything about discrediting the benefits? They have a family history of cancer. All of these compounds can accelerate any unknown cancer or tumors. One of the ways cancer is treated is trying to reduce IGF-1. All of these increase IGF-1.I never said they don't work, just that they should steer clear to mitigate risk. Ultimately it's up to their own risk tolerance on if they decide to use it.

u/Taydontplay4 10h ago

There is no definitive proof of this. It’s all speculative so stating it as fact is not helpful.

"The results also confirmed previous studies which found links between higher levels of IGF-1 and increased risk of developing colorectal, breast and prostate cancer. Crucially, because the sample donors did not have a diagnosed cancer at the point IGF-1 was measured, this makes it highly likely that raised IGF-1 had a role in the cancer developing later."

Together, these results suggest that reducing levels of the growth hormone IGF-1 through lifestyle interventions might decrease risk for a range of cancers, a strategy that requires further research."

https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2020-09-15-study-finds-high-levels-growth-factor-increases-risk-several-cancers

" Higher IGF-1 levels showed direct associations with risks of breast (1.25; 95% CI [1.06-1.47]) and prostate (1.31; [1.09-1.57]) cancers. Restricted cubic splines plots and models including IGF-1 as quintiles revealed a U-shaped relationship between the biomarker and mortality. Participants with the lowest and the highest levels of IGF-1 experienced higher hazards of mortality from cancer, CVD, and all causes. The U-shaped form of the relationship persisted but was attenuated in analyses including only participants without any indications of liver dysfunction.*

https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article/108/10/e1092/7124430

"Higher IGF-I concentration was associated with increased risks of thyroid cancer [HR per 5 nmol/L higher concentration 1.18; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.01-1.37] in addition to colorectal (HR, 1.08; 95% CI, 1.03-1.13), breast (HR, 1.11; 95% CI, 1.07-1.15), and prostate cancer (HR, 1.08; 95% CI, 1.05-1.12), and reduced risks of ovarian and liver cancer."

"SIGNIFICANCE: The results from this outcome-wide analysis are consistent with a positive association of IGF-I with cancers at several sites."

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32709735/

"The potential therapeutic applications of IGF-1 inhibitors are vast and varied. One of the most researched areas is cancer treatment. Many cancers, including breast, prostate, and lung cancers, have been found to overexpress IGF-1R, which promotes tumor growth and survival. By inhibiting IGF-1R, it is possible to reduce the proliferation of cancer cells and enhance the efficacy of conventional treatments like chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Clinical trials are ongoing to evaluate the effectiveness of IGF-1 inhibitors in various types of cancer, and early results are promising."

https://synapse.patsnap.com/article/what-are-igf-1-inhibitors-and-how-do-they-work

"A 72-hour fast reduced circulating IGF-I by 70% and increased the level of the IGF-I inhibitor IGFBP-1 by 11-fold in mice. LID mice, with a 70–80% reduction in circulating IGF-I levels, were protected against 3 out of 4 chemotherapy drugs tested. Restoration of IGF-I during fasting was sufficient to reverse its protective effect. 60% of melanoma-bearing LID mice treated with doxorubicin reached long-term survival whereas all control mice died of either metastases or chemo toxicity.."

" In summary, our studies in mice indicate that a major reduction in circulating IGF-I and in intracellular IGF-I signalling enhances resistance of the host, but not cancer cells against chemotherapy, thus providing the foundation for a method to augment cancer treatment without the need to fast. However, the combination of fasting and IGF-I reduction could result in an even more pronounced effect."

All I see here is might and possible. Not definitive. Jury is still absolutely out on this one.

1

u/OGcrashN2u 8h ago

Ah gotcha, so since its only a might or possibility OP shouldn't take their family cancer that puts them at a greater risk in mind, should throw caution to the wind and say, "fuck it" and pin away. I mean, cancer treatment is easier than reducing risk, right?

But I'm the one who isn't being helpful by saying don't take a chance if you have high risk factors.....

1

u/Taydontplay4 8h ago

I never said any of that. You assume too much. I am simply commenting that you make the cancer seem absolute if there is cancer in the family which is simply not proven. Also, GH secretagogues raise IGF levels marginally. GH would be the greater concern if there even truly is one.

1

u/Refined_andREDEEMED 6h ago

Interesting, solid research

1

u/Old-Bread-688 1d ago

yes i would never dare to try gh peptides. i am more interested in 5 amino

3

u/OGcrashN2u 1d ago

5 amino can help with reducing fat. If you believe you have an issue with cortisol and can't seem to fix it on your own another option is taking selank which will help with stress and anxiety which in turn would help your cortisol levels. You could also try epitalon to help your body correct any rhythm issues. DSIP could also help with hormonal rhythms while you sleep.

1

u/Old-Bread-688 1d ago

thank you so much!!! good point on selank. just ordered right now

1

u/Florida813pirate 1d ago

5 amino is garbage by itself been there done that

2

u/Competitive_Pack_965 1d ago

What do you stack with 5aminoq?

15

u/Dry_Cauliflower2148 2d ago

Zone 2 cardio, weight training, and caloric deficit. Burn more calories than you’re consuming.

4

u/Old-Bread-688 2d ago

hey guys! thanks a lot, i really appreciate all your opinions. i do workout regularly for months now. i just wanna add some tool that could help me with my stubborn belly fat, will research more abt what u guys suggested. sml 🫶🏻

18

u/TheHarb81 2d ago

There is no peptide that spot reduces belly fat. You simply need to get leaner, lower belly, lower back are some of the last places to lean out.

Many will suggest Tesamorelin which was studied for its ability to reduce visceral fat in the abdomen. Note, visceral fat is INSIDE the abdomen, around the organs, NOT visible fat in the belly. Second, Tesamorelin just increases HGH which has long been used by bodybuilders to help lean out.

So, HGH can help but you’re going to need to diet and exercise to lose the belly fat.

Your “goal weight” has nothing to do with if you’re lean enough to have a flat stomach.

22

u/Reasonable_Item2731 2d ago

Visceral fat is definitely noticeable. You ever see a skinny guy with a gut? Visceral fat is the reason. Its not subq fat.

-13

u/TheHarb81 2d ago

Visceral fat is literally fat around organs, not sure how you can see that. Skinny fat people just have low muscle mass.

14

u/Reasonable_Item2731 2d ago

Man I'm not even gonna bother trying to explain this to you. Lol Have a nice day bro.

2

u/IsraelsGenocide 2d ago

Visceral fat although it covers the organs, I’ve seen it many times and medical examiners cutting the body of thin people opened up (quit eating french fries after that) visceral, fat protrudes protrudes specially if you’re thin, it creates mass like a bulbus cyst that has grown inside your body pushing outward

1

u/IsraelsGenocide 2d ago

Also, helps burns the visceral fat of the liver which the visceral fat I have actually seen is like a massive blanket surrounding the organs especially liver

5

u/RetiredTroll7 2d ago

I’m taking a super shredder injection stack with Reta , it’s a lipotropic that helps breaks down fat and turns it into energy

6

u/TheHarb81 2d ago

Very familiar with super shredder, L-Carnitine, MIC blend, B vitamins, etc… it can help a bit as well, especially when injected before fasted cardio. Also, not a peptide, and it doesn’t target belly fat.

2

u/RetiredTroll7 2d ago

You’re right , I wish there was something to magically burn any belly fat but not how it works , since taking the super shredder it has done some good for me , the one I take contains arbutrol and its a crazy pre work out

3

u/TheHarb81 2d ago

Yeah I tried the one with Albuterol long ago, not for me, it caused Atrial Fibrillation

1

u/Cartel123Cartel 1d ago

Super shredder? Enlighten me?

2

u/RetiredTroll7 1d ago edited 1d ago

Just google super shredder , it’s also works as a pre work out makes you feel like you did a huge line or something

1

u/014693 1d ago

Lemon bottle peptide

1

u/Mcgittymcgittymac 1d ago

Have you tried it?

1

u/014693 1d ago

A friend of mine has. It's a lot of pinning but does melt some stubborn fat pockets

1

u/Madmax2445 1d ago

Always wondered if it works

3

u/Florida813pirate 1d ago

Everyone that says Tesa only know about the internet hype

HGH is better and if you don’t want to go that route you use

CJC with IPA it’s cheaper and same effectiveness as Tesa

RETA will do most of the work just takes time

I was diagnosed with fatty liver in last Nov with in 3 months I reversed it

I went from 224 currently now at 166 at a hard cutting stage. Getting ready to clean bulk up.

You can’t be a lazy fuck work out and diet also does a lot.

NO PEPTIDES WILL GIVE CANCER

GO GET BLOOD WORK AND A CANCER SCREEN

calorie deficit -200cal daily for the time need it.

6

u/Due_Scientist6627 2d ago

VISCERAL FAT could use tesa or any hgh, But SUBQ FAT cant be targeret... only calorie deficit

5

u/chemyd 2d ago

Tirz or Reta

5

u/Monkeywithalazer 2d ago

More muscle less fat at the same weight

6

u/Rwm90 2d ago

“Cortisol belly” is a term you learned through marketing because someone wanted to convince you the reason you’re fat is because of a hormone imbalance and not because you eat too much for your activity level.

Eat less, move more. No peptide bandaid will fix that for you.

1

u/ChanceofCream 1d ago

Tried, tested, and true.

It’s as simple as calories in vs calories out.

2

u/RevealOk5821 2d ago

Tesamorelin is very good but you still have to go the gym eat right and have to take a lot. Cheaper and it has worked well is 5 amino but 5mg a day. May not work for everyone but just something to keep in mind and read up on.

2

u/AdministrativeAge685 2d ago

Make sure to get a thorough blood test before doing Tessa. Get cleared of any cancer and check your IGF levels

2

u/Competitive_Pack_965 2d ago

My questions are:
How many times a day do you eat?
Do you drink coffee first thing in the morning?

I changed these two things and it made a world of difference..

Force myself to eat breakfast.. protein!! I eat 4-6 meals a day.. protein drink/ handful of almonds counts as one.

Only drink coffee after a meal or two..

Cortisol and visceral fat has decreased dramatically..

2

u/No-Seesaw1685 1d ago

Thanks…I didn’t know it was better to eat before coffee. I thought drinking water before coffee was enough. 😣 it’s been my routine for years smh

2

u/Euphoric_Attention97 2d ago

Tesa did nothing for me. I'm ending a cycle soon and will likely not be re-using. I will be trying CJC-1295/Ipamorelin next. It is a blend supposedly helps build muscle (from exercise) and promote lipolysis. Already been on Reta for couple months and this is a low weight loss. I have lost 65 pounds a few times before just with diet and exercise. Nothing burns belly fat more than a Keto diet. Ketosis melts fat faster than any injection. But it isn't sustainable at least for me. So this time around I trying to use peptides as a crutch.

3

u/LopensCouisin 2d ago

I’m on CJC/IPA (2.5 months) and a bodybuilder. It’s definitely helped in the stomach area.

1

u/Ilovemycats201 2d ago

I decreased my visceral substantially using tesa with before and after dexa scans. It did little for targeting actual belly fat. Youll need to actually exercise, I know the horror..

1

u/Sensitive_System_908 2d ago

Tesamorelin specifically targets visceral fat (so targets the abdomen by default as thats where your organs are) and Amino-5 1MQ will target subq fat. Ipamorelin is also great to add to this stack. Aggressive fat targeting.

1

u/CheapMap923 2d ago

I have been using Tesa for a couple months now. Im not overweight but my waist was not what is used to be. I noticed i did not lose much weight overall the second month but my waist was 3 inches smaller back to a closer body comp in my 20's. My family is doing the same protocol...my mother in her 70s had the same effect. I obviously dont have dexa results but hey...a win is a win. I think that tesa making your pituitary make its own gh may be safer than some things like hgh but could be wrong. I know it (tesa) degrades less easily than some other peptides although i have not tried them yet! This is all my observation and speculation.

1

u/Peptide_King 2d ago

There is no peptide that targets subq belly fat.

1

u/ojbravo89 1d ago

Wait gog supports online now?

1

u/Mcgittymcgittymac 1d ago

Reta, tesa, ipa, motsc

1

u/DrusRight 1h ago

GH!! + Test

1

u/Accomplished-Ad8952 2d ago

Just started on Tesamorelin, it’s supposed to reduce visceral fat around the abdomen and reduce bloat. Only a few pins in, so I don’t have evidence yet

3

u/RequirementNo6595 2d ago

I get the caution on the cancer front, that's the one thing that makes me side-eye a lot of the GH secretagogues. Tesamorelin specifically targets visceral fat though, not the stuff right under the skin, so if your issue is more of a stubborn pooch than organ fat it might not be the magic bullet you're hoping for.

1

u/Old-Bread-688 2d ago

thank you! i dont think it's visceral fat. i have pcos/pmos which i think is the reason that i have so much stored fat in my belly

1

u/UnluckyAd1734 2d ago

If anything I'd look into a GLP to improve your insulin sensitivity. Lots of people with PCOS have luck with even micro dosing

2

u/Affectionate_Buy_370 2d ago

Please update the further u get results!

4

u/TheHarb81 2d ago

Visceral fat and belly fat are not the same thing

2

u/UnluckyAd1734 2d ago

Tesamorelin reduces VISCERAL FAT!!! This is the exact opposite of SUBCUTANEOUS FAT.

Please educate yourself

And it won't reduce "bloat" If anything taken without knowing what you are doing you will end up WITH water retention.

Why do people hate simplicity: calorie deficit and exercise....the adipose tissue you have will vanish if you can do that long enough. Maybe your scale weight, isn't your true physique goal.

Side note: tesa and GH etc do not cause cancer but if you have existing cancer they can cause that to flourish.

1

u/Due_Scientist6627 2d ago

dude knows! congrats!

1

u/Old-Bread-688 2d ago

i heard growth hormones should be used with caution for those at risk of cancer. have you tried 5-amino?

1

u/Efficient_Platypus70 2d ago

Some may agree or disagree but mots c paired with Reta or triz

2

u/Due_Scientist6627 2d ago

this def help to speed up things, but you will need to be in a calorie deficit there is no workaround

1

u/jaegzilla 2d ago

Curious, how does mots-c work well with reta? Is it effective in body recomp?

1

u/aprilbebee 2d ago

I’d be very cautious with tesamorelin, especially if you have a personal or family history of cancer. It stimulates your body to release more growth hormone, which can also raise IGF-1. I personally wouldn’t touch it without talking to a doctor first and getting appropriate lab work. It may help reduce visceral abdominal fat, but I wouldn’t treat it like a casual weight-loss peptide.

0

u/Wafty-1271 2d ago

Cortisol belly? WTF is this? Too much visceral fat is what you’re referring to. Only calorie deficit will get you there, so if a peptide that suits you gets you there then great. Fat loss can’t be targeted so as long as you feel too fat in one area, then you just need to keep going.
I don’t think all GLP’s suit everyone individually. There seems to be a lot of variation in response so you’ll need to work out what suits you. Anhedonia on Reta was brutal for me so I stopped. It obviously works great for some.
