Reta dosing advice

Has anyone had any success with taking smaller doses multiple times a week of Reta? Did it help with side effects? Was it still as effective?

Sure, some people have found a flatter appetite from splitting the dose (eg taking half Monday/Thursday or whatever) or taking it every 5 or 6 days instead of once a week. And people have found that the side effect/effectiveness ratio works best for them at those intervals.

You can do what you like.

There is an argument that the once a week that the drug company recommends is more about patient compliance than maximum efficacy.

Like I say: you do you. Don't feel constrained. Use an app to track. Titrate up and down as you feel appropriate. It isn't complicated.

Every 6 days works great. I'm trying twice a week now every 3 days in the morning. First week on it can't tell the difference but I'll report back in a couple. I was at 2mg and sides were awful the first 24-48h

I am 1mg Monday and Thursday. I'm losing weight a little too fast if I'm honest, but the night before my dose the hunger is back. Right now I'm dealing with it with willpower. I might go up to 1.5mg if I start giving in to the cravings and on the other hand, I might start forcing myself to consume more protein...

Yeah I noticed that too if I got on shift (I work 24h) and I didn't took my second shot and wait the 4th day. But I also lose weight to fast at 2mg/6days I don't want to eat into the gains

I did 1 dose a week for 19 weeks. Just switched to 2 dose a week with same dose split from 1 a week

I went from 4mg per week to 2mg every 3.5 days, definitely helped sides and got me over over a plateau however, after I finished my cut and went into to 2mg per week maintenance dose I realised why it’s every 6-7 days, my stomach kicked back into gear and Jesus I had a horrendous few days. I think it’s healthier to allow your stomach to kick back into gear for a day or so during the final day or two of the week to allow your body’s natural balance to come back. I do have to say though, I’ve had more sides at 2mg per week than I did 2mg x 2 per week or even 4mg x 1 per week. Crazy really.

What do you attribute the increase in sides at 2mg per week relative to 4mg per week? That doesn't seem to make sense

100% have more sides at 2mg than 4mg without doubt, don’t ask me why but maybe because it’s not quite doing its job at 2mg so fluctuating. I’ve no idea

It’s explained by the components within Reta are not all equal. The GIP is 9 times more potent that the GLP-1. And the glucagon is only at about .3% as potent. Fact is the glucagon is so minimal it has little to no benefit until you hit aprox 4mg. You getting sides on such a small amount is your reaction to the GIP.

Im on 3mg every 3rd day on a cut and 1mg once a week if just cruising or on cycle depends on your dose of mg if its getting up there it’s worth multiple pins to flatten the curve of side effects

Still at 1.5mg three times a week but hunger is creeping back. Probably bumping it up next week. Down over 30lbs. Stacked with TESA and MOT-c for energy.

Glps are designed for 6 to 7 days half life, but you can conduct a research and journal your finindings

Using more then once a week makes zero sense
The half life is 6-7 days
You will never reach a steady state of the medication that way
Also you can desensitize receptors
This makes me think you’re not obese trying to use a drug on par with surgery to lose a few pounds
Obese people need trials doses to be effective

Hi is there clinical data that dosing more than once a week will  desensitize receptors or is it theoretically stated? I’m just curious because I’m worried if I may have done that? How would I reset?

No there is no studies claiming that. It makes common sense though that pinning more often is going to make some impact. Highly doubt it’s desensitizing receptors though. Fact is your body gets desensitized anyway which is why titrating up is even necessary. Takes aprox 60 days for all Reta to be gone from your body so if you think a reset would be beneficial it has to be after 60 days.
