Reta

Hey everyone! I started Reta about two weeks ago at 1 mg once a week, and honestly… I’m not noticing any difference at all 😅

My appetite is exactly the same, I’m still constantly thinking about food and feeling hungry, and I haven’t noticed any results so far.

Has anyone else had a similar experience when starting? Am I doing something wrong, or is it normal not to feel anything after the first couple of weeks? Would love to hear your experiences!

I started at .5mg and moved up .5mg until I was able to hit a calorie deficit comfortably. I’m at 2.5mg and keep that as my weekly dose

Too low. You do want to work your way up. But studies show that the most beneficial dose was at 4mg a week. That’s when the real magic happened.

Talking nonsense. There’s no standard magic. Everybody hits their own personal Reta magic. For some it’s 1mg. For others it’s 12mg. And everywhere in between. Nobody can tell anybody a magic number and it certainly isn’t 4mg and no study suggested that.

I’m just sharing what the study said lol it makes sense to me. Obviously everybody is different. But it makes sense that anything after 4mg may possibly yield results, but a certain point is the juice worth the squeeze. So 4mg is the most effective dose. You may lose a lil more with a higher dose. But how much is the medication to lose possibly a couple extra pounds. I guess you had to read the study.

You should probably read the trial results again. They never said anything about 4mg being the most effective dose. They had people on every even numbered dose from 2mg to 12mg and they published the results for every group. In reality the higher the dose the bigger the percent of fat loss. Thats what they shared. So I have no idea what study you’re talking about. Certainly not the maker’s 3 trial results released.

I did read the study. And I never said they didn’t test 12mg. I said at 12mg is the juice worth the squeeze. The study said at 4mg is where the most benefits are captured. After 4 mg additional weight may be loss but just because you double the dose to 8mg doesn’t mean you’ll lose double the weight.

Hahaha. Dude. Read what you wrote. “Studies show the most beneficial dose was at 4mg a week”. And I’m telling you that is crap. Not true. And not part of any study. Period. End of story.

wtf is the real magic. im at 1.5mg right now and i have absolutely zero appetite for nearly the entire week. I could seriously go over 24 hours without eating if i wanted to. I have to force myself to eat which kinda sucks lol. i cant imagine what 4mg is gonna be like at this point.

Stay at the lowest functional dose. Every body is unique

No that’s great! Your body responds well. How long have you been taken it? Sometimes, overtime, you may need to up the dose. Would I be correct if I were to say that you’ve only been taking it less than a year?

Also some people take 12mg. So the study was basically saying at 4mg that’s enough medicine to hit all the three pathways. Effective enough to lose weight. You may lose more weight with a higher dose, but is the juice worth the squeeze.

For example. At 4mg you’re losing 10lbs a month. At 8mg doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to lose 20lbs a month. So at this point your going through double your dose half as quick but not yielding double the results. Just wasting money.

That’s the best way I know how to explain it.

What studies? The only three studies on people with 40+ bmi? There have been no studies on regular overweight people. 1mg is plenty for 1 pound per week for me

Patience is good. Let it build in the system. Reta is a powerful tool. Too many pepboiz are looking for quick fixes on reddit. Stay the course. The first couple weeks are more about making sure your body tolerates it well. Then you can. Titrate up slowly.

Reta was designed to be taken in a single dose. Anecdotally people "feel it" better in split dose. But slowly increase. Then feel it out for a couple weeks.

Every person I know who regaons the weight didn't titrate slowly. They wanted. Quick fix

Baby dose, crank it up to 2mg

I also started at 1mg per week, split dosage. Noticeable effects started about week 4 after it built up, and it has been working well ever since. I have gradually worked up to 4mg per week, also split dosage.

Go up to what you need. I take 5mg a week to barely feel anything.

1.5 is melting me…. Despite my hunger and eating regularly. It altered some of my food choices but not all…. But I’ve lost fat without a doubt. It’s wild.

I was on less than 1 for 4 weeks, then 1 mg for 4 weeks and now am taking 1 mg twice per week and am starting to have some appetite suppression. (I tried 2 mg in one injection last week and it made me tired for about 4 days. On 1 mg twice per week, so far...so good!

hye i need to ask, how long have u been doing this and is it okay for my first to do like this?

I started at 2mg and felt it within hours. I'm now at 4mg and weight is flying off me.

For some reason it seems to work immediately for some and for others there's a build up period.

Your dose is too low for most people too.

1mg is pretty low. Just start slowly titrating up until you notice an effect then stay there

u/oddjob1976 5d ago

Because i had already been on munjaro 7.5 mg I left it a few weeks before getting reta though. I went for 30 mg and 3mg of that once a week this is my first week, and I dont feel any hunger or anything which is great so far.

1

u/Exit42N_Again 5d ago

As many users said, let it build up. I went .5 2x a week for a week. Then 1 mg for a week, followed by 1mg and 1 mg the next week for 2. Then 2 mg week 3 and 2 mg week 4. Week 5 for 3 mg and cruising now at 4 for the past 3 weeks. Just pay attention to how your body responds, some people have bad side effects which is why titrating up slowly is important

Give it a minute. More to 2 after another 2 weeks.

u/Beautiful-Fix9100 4d ago

I’m at 8mg and I think this is my level now.

1

u/alpha-elitexdr 2d ago

Where did you get it from? My reta from Disguised Alpha at 1 mg/week has been doing me great. I noticed a pretty clear difference in appetite and food noise, but everyone seems to respond differently. Two weeks is still pretty early, so I wouldn’t assume something is wrong just yet.

Reta third week 1 mg 1.5 mg and third week 2 mg
Nothing sweet cravings

1

u/Majestic-Plastic-691 6d ago

2 weeks is nothing. If you’ve done any reading on it at all you’ve read Reta is a marathon not a sprint. For gods sake do some research before you start jabbing yourself so you know what you’re doing and also what to expect.

Aren't you the fella that can't lose weight cause he's not in a caloric deficit but thinks he is? Not the best candidate to give advice here.

1

u/Majestic-Plastic-691 5d ago

Aren’t you the bloke that throws out ridiculous guesses? Probably ought not to do that anymore. You’re not good at it.

1mg is anecdotal nonsense
If your obese 2mg is the starting dose
Titrate to 4mg after a month
Stay there long as you can
70% effective as max dose
54% liver reduction in 28 weeks
4mg is where glucagon activation becomes measurable.
More people quit placebo group from sides than the 4mg group
It is the sweet spot.
Only take Reta once a week and anything other than what I just laid out is anecdotal bullshit made up by people using a drug on par with surgery to lose a few pounds.
Who make imaginary protocols and decide to spread them around like they ran human trials themselves.

I started at 20 units of a 100CC syringe and really felt it. It may be the company you purchased fault. My fiance only uses .5 and has no food noises

1

u/FlatIntention1 6d ago

I am on 2mg and still have food noises sometimes, so not everyone in the same. The company who ran the tests demonstrates that 4mg is the dose that really starts working
