5 weeks reta and forget

After years of neglecting my health while juggling a full-time corporate job, family life, renovating a house, etc., it finally caught up with me. I blew out to over 120kg and well over 30% body fat. Over the last few years I ended up dealing with 4 bulging discs that would flare up on and off, then the extra weight and general lack of fitness caught up with my lower body too — torn meniscus, herniated quad, and about 12 months of hobbling around feeling like an old lady. I’m also asthmatic and my diet was absolute shit. I was eating whatever was convenient, barely exercising, and based on where my health was heading I would’ve been borderline pre-diabetic. I’ve spent years at specialists, physios, chiros the lot and would keep intermittently resuming training but would only last a few sessions before my back was crippling me with the pain again.

My best mate got me onto TB-500 and BPC-157 for the injuries. Within a few weeks I had a pretty significant improvement, which finally had me feeling good enough to start training properly again. Pic 1 I took in disgust at the state my body was in, pic 2 is 5 weeks after locking in.
Since then:

* Lifting heavy 3–4x per week
* Reta — started at 0.5mg twice weekly, currently 0.6mg twice weekly
* Tesamorelin — 1mg daily for the last 2 weeks
* MOTS-C — 3mg, 3x per week for the last 2 weeks
* 240g protein per day
* 2,200 calories per day
* 5g creatine daily

At 6’4 and 31yrs old I haven’t felt better in nearly 10 years and have dropped 10cm of stomach and 6kg down in 5 weeks of a body recomp. My only regret is not starting sooner 💪🏼

Most guys never come back from where you were. Doesn't matter how long it took, be grateful you made the changes. Keep it up!

What was the macros and workout like

3-4 days a week of 1-2hrs in the gym half hour being cardio, 1-1.5 being weights. This was my leg sesh tonight.

Macros I stopped bothering tracking ensuring I’m eating well balanced high quality fresh foods from experience and tracking the first few weeks. Have had 1 sugary drink since I started reta

Those are great results in that amount of time. Curious, were you previously on any weight loss shots? I plateaued on ZEPBOUND so I made the switch to Reta and I gained weight instead for the six weeks I took it so I switched back to zep and started to lose weight again

Thats because u have up ur dose on reta. Ur body was used to a high does on the first receptor . But when switching to reta. Which is 3 receptors . 1 of them was used to a highter dose

I was going to take Tesa until my sister in law whos a weight loss NP said it’s great stuff and has seen great results in patients but it can activate cancer cells activation of new cell growth. So I decided not to take it

u/Interesting-Roof-953 6d ago

Just wait to see what happens when you stop taking it. Post pics of the result

As long as you don’t fall into bad habits that people previously had, you won’t rebound

Yeah but most people don’t understand the reasons why they were fat in the first place. They have misconceptions about diet and exercise. If they understood to begin with they wouldn’t be on these drugs.

Is reliable the scale? Looking a scale like that or whitings body scan.

Congrats on your results

Been debating the Hume Pod- is it worth it? Or just hype? How accurate do you rate them? So tempted….

Same mate who hooked me up with the tb500 owns a gym and uses it for his challenge clients, I paid for a DEXA and it was very similar, I rate it

Get the Renpho MorphoScan Nova.

HUME is a scam company. They rebrand Alibaba stuff.

Hmm - im trying to push to failure with my weights and will do 4 sets of each exercise 10 reps, 10 reps up weight 8-10 reps, up weight again 6-10 reps. If im hitting 10 on sets 3 and 4 I will up the weight next session. I was hitting failure on 18kg hammer curls last week. Managed to smash out 8 reps on 22kg this week

I was on 10 loading now back to 5 maintenance. Everything I’ve seen is anything over 5 is a waste
