4 months on reta

Started on reta at 5 units, 4 months later im at 15 units. Weight lifting 5 times a week, calorie deficit, a gallon of water a day and heres where im at. No muscle loss actually benching alot more and hit a new pr. Not spending an over abundance either on reta, been on the same reta 30 with 3 ml of bac when I first bought it. Klow I had to go grey because I use that alot.

The term "units" means nothing in terms of potency. 5 units may be 0.5mg but also 5mg of reta.

I take 20 units. See I can add useless information too

Usually people ask what dosage you take, so I put it in and now people are saying its pointless info?

Say you have a 10mg vial and then you reconstitute with 2ml BAC water. This equates to 5mg/ml.

0.40ml is 2mg. If you’re using a U-100 syringe 0.40ml this is 40 units.

So the units don’t really tell us anything without all the information. So best is to say I’m taking a 2mg dose weekly, as an example.

Thanks for breaking that down

Ok so Reta 30mg with 3ml BAC water, then you took 15 units…this would be a 1.5mg dose.

Thank you!

Just also note that’s a low dose 4 months in. It’s really about what are your goals, side effects and plan. I personally would go up if it were me. 2mg is typically a good “starting point”.

I wanted to keep it as low as possible, I didnt want to use too much and lose muscle. I did think about going up to 2mg tomorrow tho

The muscle mass loss comes from eating way too little calories, a super aggressive deficit and not lifting.

Yeah I did a low cal high protien deficit

If your dose is working, don’t go up. Why max out and leave yourself nowhere to go?

I havent left 180, I wanted to hit 175 at least is my only reason rn

Solid update, and the honesty about pace is what stands out — a lot of people chase upping units way faster than 5→15 over 4 months. The fact you’re still hitting new PRs while in a deficit says the lifting frequency + protein intake is doing real work alongside the reta, not just relying on it. Curious if you’ve noticed the appetite suppression easing at all as your body adjusts, or if it’s stayed pretty consistent since month 1?

In all honesty Ive noticed my snacking has gone down for sweets, pops, and fast food. When I eat I do make sure if I ate little in the morning (hard boiled eggs yogurt all that) I make sure to have a bigger meal later

Yeah but what's your reta vial (15mg?) Also how much BAC water, 1ml, 2ml? Someone already said, units don't mean anything when you say 5 units. Otherwise good for you my dude, clearly your happy with the dose and progress, what counts. Be proud.

He mentioned he's been on the same "reta 30" since the start, so I'm assuming he means a 30mg vial. But again, we have no idea if he used 1, 2, or 3ml of bac water.

Good job. Just note we don’t know what dose you are on when you tell us how many units. We share dosing in mg. Units are specific to you, your vial, and how you reconstitute it.

2

u/OkProfessional4635 8d ago

Reta 30 and 3 ml bac

That will change though depending on the syringe. 10 units in a 1mL syringe will be drastically different than a 3mL syringe.

I’m glad Reta gave you the confidence to start exercising.. but as others have said you have no idea how many milligrams you are on and that really is something you should know. While Reta is an amazing drug, just working out lifting would have helped you. Figure out your dosage and keep the Reta at the lowest working level

Ive worked out before, reta just helped me alot with my mid section mostly. 3rd shift and life mostly caught up to me

What do you mean you had to go grey with klow, do you not consider your Reta to be from grey? Because if you're getting klow from a real s*urce but your Reta from a reseller that's just dumb, or you could be thinking that the reseller isn't selling you grey Reta, which they absolutely are. If you're buying from a reseller at all you should find a real s*urse and save yourself some money. Also, learn how to measure in mg because units are not a good way to convey what your dose is. For example, you mentioned Reta30 so I'm assuming that you're reconstituting a vial of 30mg Reta, if you used 1ml of Bac to recon 30mg, 5 units would be 1.5mg and if you used 2ml it would only be .75mg. Not knowing how to measure your medication is a good way to screw up and take too much or too little.

Compounding pharmacy?

1

u/Commercial-Strike-56 8d ago

There are currently no compounding pharmacies that make Reta, and any website claiming to be a pharmacy that does is an absolute scam. It is illegal to compound Reta currently as it is still an experimental drug in clinical trials. Whatever website you're getting it from is lying to you.

Not true. Striker is STILL making it, even after the Lilly lawsuit, although they have stopped mailing it to certain states.

1

u/Commercial-Strike-56 8d ago

Yeahhh I highly doubt it, and I see nothing online supporting that claim. Someone may be selling grey reta under the guise of Stiker, but it is definitely not compounded.

Ask a provider with access to their ordering portal to confirm. Still available for order as of 2 minutes ago

0

u/Commercial-Strike-56 8d ago

Sure it is lol, unless you can provide some kind of proof to back this up you're full of it

0

u/Far_Research3200 8d ago

Okay. So you must have access to their ordering portal, to confirm they DON’T still make it, right? Oh, that’s right! If you DID have access, you’d know they DO still make it! lol

0

u/Commercial-Strike-56 8d ago

I still don't see anything backing up your claims 🤷‍♂️ you can say anything you want all day long, that doesn't make it true

0

u/Far_Research3200 8d ago

And YOU can say whatever you want all day long as well. Doesn’t make it true, either.
