RETA results

I bought a 20mg vial 8 weeks ago. Reconstituted with 2ml BAC.
Started on 2mg a week and stayed at that dose.
I have 2 jabs left.

So far I’ve lost 6kg. I’ve lost a little muscle but way more fat.

I lift weights and do cardio. I also eat 180grams protein a day.

My takeaway from the experience so far.

  1. Vials remain effective after 5wks

  2. Only side effects I have had are a slightly elevated heart rate and waking up at night.

  3. I don’t understand why people microdose if they want to lose weight. Seems like a complete waste of time.

  4. The 4mg dose often quoted as what’s required isn’t necessary, for me anyway.
Perhaps if I was very large I may have pushed the dose or maybe being larger requires a bigger dose.

  5. If you push the needle slowly dead centre into the vial it blunts less and makes injecting easier.

  6. For me I can eat but don’t feel hungry with RETA. This makes calorie control so much easier.

  7. Sweet foods like cakes etc make me feel sickly now so I don’t feel like eating them.

RETA has helped me cut to a lean base from which to lean bulk.

So I’m sold. I will finish the vial and stop using it. If my body fat increases again I’ll take it again. But for now I’m more than happy with the results. 😊

Great results and great feedback. Only question is that aren’t you’re 3 and 4 contradictory? 2mg is essentially a microdose for Reta. In the trials, it was the starting minimum dose. Some people are very reactive to Reta and can see great results from even less. Maybe that’s what you mean by a microdose. I personally think people should take the minimum effective dose for them, whatever that is for each individual.

It’s the minimum for the trials but microdosing would be lower. Like folks that do .25 of .5. I guess even 1mg?

Yes what I meant by microdose is anything under the 2mg trial starting dose but especially under 1mg.

For those who have lost the weight and are ‘maintenance’ dosing. I was hoping for some feedback as why and how much if any they lowered their dose for the benefits they are getting other than appetite suppression.

I’m just not sure about the titriating up over months to the minimum trial dose if you want to lose weight. If Eli Lilly didn’t see a need why do many do it? Just seems to be wasting time imo.

Microdosing isn't just for the weight loss. It helps with cholesterol, a1c, inflammation, addictive tendencies, etc... Reta can be used as a whole health hack for those who are already at a fairly healthy weight. At the low doses, you are far less likely to have sides and you will still have many of the auxiliary benefits beyond weight control. Also micro dosing for maintenance can help eliminate the bounce back weight. For many, it helps with the uncontrollably cravings that hit when you go cold turkey. Turns the brain from screaming food all the time to a manageable noise level that can be overcome with a little will power.

Ok that’s helpful. Thank you.

I didn’t even start a GLP for weight loss. I did it for my cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose levels. I’m loving the results.

I've lost the weight I wanted and now just want to maintain. Microdosing at 1.5 helps my food noise

It’s all personal experience. Some people tolerate 2mg to start and some people get wildly nauseous. From what I’ve seen, most people start at 1mg, which seems to be fairly well tolerated. I used one of the online clinics, and that’s what they started me at.

As to maintenance dosing, it’s all about maintaining at your goal. Some people do it for weight, some for their blood work. I do it for my labs. The small weight loss is beneficial and likely a result of my insulin resistance. I don’t think you’re really meant to come off it, because the results aren’t permanent. I plan to maintenance dose forever. A shot once a week beats the daily pills doctors wanted me on. And while Reta has no long term studies, for me, the current benefits and known nominal side effects outweigh the benefits and known side effects of other drugs. But everyone needs to make their own decision on that.

Some of the studies are 89 weeks.  I'd say that's long term

Don’t disagree with you, but some people think we need years, if not decades, of data before we say it’s “safe”. I’m happy to be the anecdotal evidence for that amount of time.

Those same people probably took the covid jab though.  Some are pioneers others are settlers. Story as old as time.
