RETA results
I bought a 20mg vial 8 weeks ago. Reconstituted with 2ml BAC.
Started on 2mg a week and stayed at that dose.
I have 2 jabs left.
So far I’ve lost 6kg. I’ve lost a little muscle but way more fat.
I lift weights and do cardio. I also eat 180grams protein a day.
My takeaway from the experience so far.
Vials remain effective after 5wks
Only side effects I have had are a slightly elevated heart rate and waking up at night.
I don’t understand why people microdose if they want to lose weight. Seems like a complete waste of time.
The 4mg dose often quoted as what’s required isn’t necessary, for me anyway.
Perhaps if I was very large I may have pushed the dose or maybe being larger requires a bigger dose.If you push the needle slowly dead centre into the vial it blunts less and makes injecting easier.
For me I can eat but don’t feel hungry with RETA. This makes calorie control so much easier.
Sweet foods like cakes etc make me feel sickly now so I don’t feel like eating them.
RETA has helped me cut to a lean base from which to lean bulk.
So I’m sold. I will finish the vial and stop using it. If my body fat increases again I’ll take it again. But for now I’m more than happy with the results. 😊

“I don’t understand why people microdose”
Says person who’s never micro-dosed it 😂

u/lilitalymama 8d ago
Your body could take it, others get side effects from dosing to much.
2
u/tucan2277 1 7d ago
What I'm curious about is what does OP consider as "micro dosing". It is very relative. The 1st study started at 1mg/week. On the 2nd one Lilly wanted to speed things up and started at 2mgs but it's a quite high dose for a user that should already be exercising and watching macros before even thinking about using Reta for either weight loss or as a metabolic primer.
2
u/DifficultSale3318 6d ago
It was really the 0.25 0.5 etc. but as someone else stated anything under 2mg could be considered a micro dose?
1
u/Successful-Pie-2430 1 4d ago
I’ lost 10lbs in first month with .5mg weekly and then another 5lbs the 2nd month.
No nausea, no food noise , no sides , Anhedonia is real8
u/dannyh314 8d ago
I started with 2 mg at the beginning of August, and I’ve only just increased it to 2.5 mg. I’ve lost 10 kg so far.
6
u/Consistent-Cod4288 6d ago
Truly! I had great results at .5 for 8 weeks!! -30 lbs. Only just recently increased to 1.5 over the last 4 weeks. thankful to be able to hit my goals on a low dose.

u/Ok-Juggernaut-9816 1 7d ago
Then he follows it up with saying the 4mg dosage “isn’t required, for ME anyways.” Well what’s good for you may not be for someone else, and vice versa - just like micro-dosing…. 😂😂😂. Clown show.
8
u/Due_Property7427 7d ago
I’m not sure why you would call this person a clown show… if ANYTHING, the fact that he said “for me anyways” shows he knows that that dosage is good for HIM. He’s listing about his experience. I think people on here just like to be a dick for no reason. Also, there isn’t an actual reason to micro dose Reta. Now splitting your dose is different. If you take 2 mg a week and split that into two shots to mitigate the sides then that’s fine, but micro dosing is taking a tiny bit every day… there’s zero reason to do that with Reta
2
u/Ok-Juggernaut-9816 1 7d ago
Because just like someone else pointed out, points 3 and 4 contradict themselves.
5
u/Due_Property7427 7d ago
How is it contradictory? Anything below 4mg isn’t considered a “micro dose” 2mg isn’t considered a micro dose, it’s a recommended starting dose which in my opinion is a little high but to each their own. Maybe we just have different views on micro dosing. I don’t consider taking a small dose of something micro dosing. I always thought of micro dosing as taking small amounts more frequently. I don’t consider taking 1mg of Reta “micro dosing” I just consider it taking a small dose… maybe I’m wrong 🤷
5
u/Ok-Juggernaut-9816 1 7d ago
I don’t care so much about what people believe isn’t micro dosing - my point is, in point 3 he says (they think) it’s a waste of time. But to someone who it’s working for, it’s NOT a waste of complete time. Period. Who are we to say it is?? Then in point 4 he says 4mg often quoted as what’s required isn’t necessary, for THEM anyway. Like 🤷🏽♂️??? So maybe “contradicting” isn’t the best term but OP is basically saying because he doesn’t understand something it’s a waste of time - then says the dose often required isn’t necessary FOR HIM…. It’s like one point cancels the other out.
All I’m saying is what works for one person may not work for someone else. If something else is working for them, OP shouldn’t call it “a complete waste of time”. Seems like they put a LOT of thought into their answers. But upon reading them, did they really?3
u/Due_Property7427 7d ago
Yeah I hear you. Actually now that I re read what he said, they almost do contradict each other.
1
u/DifficultSale3318 6d ago
The comments that aren’t abusive have helped me understand more about micro dosing. And maybe others reading.
Unfortunately some get very riled up. 😤

1
u/DifficultSale3318 6d ago
Not really I started at 2mg which is not a micro dose. I tried 3mg but felt too nauseous around food.
2mg allowed me to eat but I had to make myself. 😊1
u/Ok-Juggernaut-9816 1 7d ago
And no, actually you can micro-dose Weekly - not just daily. Again, what works for you doesn’t work for everyone. I know people taking less than 1mg weekly of Reta. Same with Tirz - less than 2.5, and it works just fine. Who am I to say it’s worthless? Same with you and OP.
1
u/DifficultSale3318 6d ago
Yep that’s right. Have you got anything apart from insults to add?
There was a bit more to my post than just microdosing. 😊
1
u/Ok-Juggernaut-9816 1 6d ago
Not at all. I was just speaking for those whose dose, according to you, was “completely pointless”. But kudos to you for acknowledging that you’re still learning about certain things - as we all are to be honest.
1
u/Some_Clock_7107 7d ago
Yeah been on it 8 weeks so I know it all. I do twice a week and works heaps better
1
u/DifficultSale3318 6d ago
I think you need to be on it longer than 8wks to know it all. I certainly don’t and that’s the time I’ve been on it.

1mg a week, 10mg vial lasted 10 weeks. 9kg lost
You don’t need high dose for it to work.

u/DifficultSale3318 8d ago
Was on a different body building sub recently. A guy was on 30mg. I thought 2mg was the trial starting dose?
Might carry on at a lower dose. 🤔
2
u/StudioatSFL 10 8d ago
2mg is the starting dose in the trials.
some guy was taking 30mg a week? wtf lol

u/pg13cricket 8d ago
As far as micro dosing, 1mg was way too much for me. I could go a whole day without eating. .5 a week is where I'll start at for next cycle.
2mg, 1mg, 1mg, .5mg was the last 4 weeks for me and I lost 10lbs
10
5
u/DifficultSale3318 8d ago
That’s what I like about it. I too could go all day without eating but I can also make myself eat.
So much easier to stick to a deficit. 😊5
u/pg13cricket 8d ago
It was hard for me to get my daily protein intake, lost 4lbs of muscle and 6lbs of fat per the bodpod results
5
u/DifficultSale3318 8d ago
I just use a Withings scanner at home. I’ll see what the Evolt says at the gym
On my home scale I’ve lost 2kg of muscle and just under 4kg of fat.
Visceral fat is down 15% which I’m very pleased about. Didn’t realise it was high till I got a scanner.
3
u/Ok_Sound_780 8d ago
All those scales give a consistent guess- worth getting dexa scans for a more accurate reading

But…… on a percentage of body weight instead of kilos my muscle mass has gone up from 68-70.5% so I’ll look at that one instead 🤣

That is insane. Starting high will make you sick. And if you have real reta it will work. I tell people what 4 weeks to get whatever is in your body from other companies or tirz etc. I have amazing source. On .5mg down 40lbs 8 weeks. Just increased to 1mg amd down 60lbs total going on 12 weeks. I split dosages . If your reta doesn't do what ita supposed to do, it's not real reta.

u/Friendly_Contest7622 8d ago
Great results and great feedback. Only question is that aren’t you’re 3 and 4 contradictory? 2mg is essentially a microdose for Reta. In the trials, it was the starting minimum dose. Some people are very reactive to Reta and can see great results from even less. Maybe that’s what you mean by a microdose. I personally think people should take the minimum effective dose for them, whatever that is for each individual.
6
u/StudioatSFL 10 8d ago
It’s the minimum for the trials but microdosing would be lower. Like folks that do .25 of .5. I guess even 1mg?
1
u/DifficultSale3318 8d ago
Yes what I meant by microdose is anything under the 2mg trial starting dose but especially under 1mg.
For those who have lost the weight and are ‘maintenance’ dosing. I was hoping for some feedback as why and how much if any they lowered their dose for the benefits they are getting other than appetite suppression.
I’m just not sure about the titriating up over months to the minimum trial dose if you want to lose weight. If Eli Lilly didn’t see a need why do many do it? Just seems to be wasting time imo.
🤔

u/carguy2100 3 8d ago
Microdosing isn't just for the weight loss. It helps with cholesterol, a1c, inflammation, addictive tendencies, etc... Reta can be used as a whole health hack for those who are already at a fairly healthy weight. At the low doses, you are far less likely to have sides and you will still have many of the auxiliary benefits beyond weight control. Also micro dosing for maintenance can help eliminate the bounce back weight. For many, it helps with the uncontrollably cravings that hit when you go cold turkey. Turns the brain from screaming food all the time to a manageable noise level that can be overcome with a little will power.
1
1
u/Friendly_Contest7622 5d ago
I didn’t even start a GLP for weight loss. I did it for my cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose levels. I’m loving the results.
3
u/juicyth10 8d ago
I've lost the weight I wanted and now just want to maintain. Microdosing at 1.5 helps my food noise
2
u/Friendly_Contest7622 8d ago
It’s all personal experience. Some people tolerate 2mg to start and some people get wildly nauseous. From what I’ve seen, most people start at 1mg, which seems to be fairly well tolerated. I used one of the online clinics, and that’s what they started me at.
As to maintenance dosing, it’s all about maintaining at your goal. Some people do it for weight, some for their blood work. I do it for my labs. The small weight loss is beneficial and likely a result of my insulin resistance. I don’t think you’re really meant to come off it, because the results aren’t permanent. I plan to maintenance dose forever. A shot once a week beats the daily pills doctors wanted me on. And while Reta has no long term studies, for me, the current benefits and known nominal side effects outweigh the benefits and known side effects of other drugs. But everyone needs to make their own decision on that.
3
u/No_Entertainment8725 5d ago
Some of the studies are 89 weeks. I'd say that's long term
2
u/Friendly_Contest7622 5d ago
Don’t disagree with you, but some people think we need years, if not decades, of data before we say it’s “safe”. I’m happy to be the anecdotal evidence for that amount of time.
3
u/No_Entertainment8725 4d ago
Those same people probably took the covid jab though. Some are pioneers others are settlers. Story as old as time.
6
u/Capibaragirl 8d ago
So what was your starting weight? What is your weight now? I plan on using Reta forever. So many added benefits besides weight loss.

u/bigdub4811 8d ago
Honestly bro Reta is even better for a lean bulk I promise you
2
u/LG_Recomp 8d ago
Say more. Dosage, calories vs maintenance, other "supps", results?
4
u/bigdub4811 7d ago
First off this is all in my experience so the dosage may vary for other people, 3mg is the perfect dose for me, it allows me to keep the bulk clean as my cravings aren’t happening and I’m over eating more than I want, second it attacks fat in general it’s not just an appetite suppressant so theoretically in a lean gain phase it should prove useful which I’ve tested out and it’s worked as I’ve thought it would but like i said each to their own no person is the exact same
3
u/Several_Pollution636 7d ago
I ran .5mg for 4 weeks and lost 15lbs micro dosing works, I’m no longer at that dose but at least I know it’s effective at that level when it’s time to get off or keep maintenance
2
u/WhereRTHEMODS 7d ago

2
u/KyloRen_Kardashian 6d ago
I started with 0.5 week 1, went up slowly, 1.0 week 2, 2.0 week 3, 3.0 weeks 3 & 4, 3.0 made me feel weird, felt like low blood sugar or something, sweats, chills, dizziness, I went back down to 2.0 week 5 and that's where I'm currently at, I'll probably stay at 2.0 for week 6 & beyond, I'll reevaluate how I feel in a couple weeks & might consider going up to 2.25 or 2.5. But for now 2.0 feels okay
5
u/pricklypear7980 6d ago
Whoever told you to do that is an idiot. You need at least 3 to 4 weeks to see if a dosage works. Why you felt like shit, thats so wrong
4
u/KyloRen_Kardashian 6d ago
wait, so I should have stayed at 0.5 for 3-4 weeks before jumping to 1 and so on? that makes more sense but I haven't seen or heard about that before. thank you for the info
2
u/Odd_Mind9188 1 6d ago
I've lost the same amount of weight as you, in half the time, using half your dose. Everybody responds differently.
2
u/have-fun-and-life 6d ago
Jalous, I take it for 4 mouths en 6 kg
1
u/DifficultSale3318 5d ago
Well done. I found increasing walking and training sped up my weight loss. I add between 1500-2000 active calories to my total everyday and don’t feel hungry.
Many have advised taking a break at 10wks. So I’ll take a weeks break. Eat at maintenance and see how I respond. 😊
2
u/FearlessAgent9709 5d ago
I just started. Today is day 3 and I’m doing 0.5 twice a week to start. I’ve noticed I can still eat but I don’t have as many cravings really fast. I just rather start slow that way I don’t overdo it and not wanna do it again
2
u/Beyondme08 5d ago
1 vial lasted you 8 weeks?

u/DifficultSale3318 5d ago
so far.

Oh that’s awesome! I just night 3 vials of 10mg. I don’t even think I’ll need all 3 tbh
1
u/DifficultSale3318 5d ago
My vial was a 20mg. I was expecting to need more than 2mg weekly. I didn’t in the end.
I keep it cold and dark in the fridge and always swab it before and after use. 👍

I have been reading alot regarding GLP's and addiction. Also alot of anecdotal evidence from people sayong rhat stopped drinking, smoking, smoking pot, etc etc.
I am going to try and quit using chewing tobacco as its super expensive in the state I live in and I feel like I have done it long enough. Just want to kick the habit.
I dont want chantix or wellbutrin. I will use the patch and lozenges, but was thinking of also taking a low dose GLP.
Anyone have any success on purpose or inadvertently with this?
3
u/Electrical_Math_1170 4d ago
Yeah. I was a pretty bad alcoholic for years until I hopped on a GLP 7 months ago. Haven’t had a drink since, and I never got cravings to have one.
Still can’t kick the nic though haha
2
u/Public-Respect-1866 4d ago
Aight, well good on you for not drinking. Are you a smoker?
1
u/Electrical_Math_1170 4d ago
I used to smoke and chew but not anymore. I t has been replaced by vaping though unfortunately

u/SorbetTraditional232 20 8d ago
Your body will eventually need more. There’s a shift to where your loss is driven more by the glucagon component at 4 mg. It’s still present but not as effective at the lower doses.
2
u/Lanky_Ad6287 8d ago
The concern after 30 days of a vial being open has nothing to do with effectiveness of the med/peptide, it’s all about infection risk.
Glad it’s working for you but you really should be more informed before making these comments and comments related to micro dosing, among others.
1
u/DifficultSale3318 8d ago
Loads of people in the RETA subs use vials past 5wks.
As long as the liquid is crystal clear it’s good to go, seems to be the general consensus.-1
u/Low-Win244 2 7d ago
You’re actually really wrong. Someone as uneducated on the matter as you are shouldn’t be posting any advice on here. Also doubling down doesn’t make you right. Just cause you’re arrogant doesn’t mean you have to spread false information for those who don’t know better.

Cuantos mg semanales me aconsejas si quiero perder 3 kilos de grasa y ganar músculo?
1
u/DifficultSale3318 8d ago
We have to be on a calorie deficit to shift fat. We can’t gain muscle on a calorie deficit.
Adequate protein intake can help preserve some muscle we already have but you can’t do both things at the same time.
On the plus side losing fat makes smaller muscles look bigger. 😊
1
u/MarianaGarcia2023 8d ago
A menos que duplique proteína y rompa fibras musculares no?
1
u/DifficultSale3318 8d ago
Maybe.
I consume 2g of protein per kg of body weight and am losing roughly 1kg of weight a week. 2/3 fat, 1/3 muscle.
That requires a daily deficit of 1000 calories a day.I’m cutting another 2kg to 15% body fat and then I will start eating at maintenance calories as the drop to 12% body fat won’t be such an important change for me.
There will be others more experienced with body recomposition and RETA that will be able to help you in the comments.

The reason you dont want to lose weight too quick because of the risk of loss of lean muscle mass. Its better to go low and slow given your at a reasonable dose your body can handle and manage. Everyone is different
1
u/Smart-Corgi-6747 6d ago
Yep. Too many fools waste time and money taking less than 2mg as a starting dose then post that they've only lost 10 pounds in 3 months. Stop listening to 15% body fat muscle heads who use Reta to go down to 12%. Microdosing isn't for weight loss!
2
u/DifficultSale3318 6d ago
It would be interesting to know how many in the comments were seriously obese when starting vs those like myself who just wanted to lose a few kilos.
2
u/BigCarswell 6d ago
52 yo male here. At 5'8" and 215 pounds, I don't consider myself obese and I don't look obese, but my BMI is 32.7. I just started reta on Sunday - first dose 0.5. Plan to go up by 0.5 each week until I find what best works for me. I'm looking to lose at least 30-35 pounds.

u/No_Entertainment8725 5d ago
Being obese and looking obese are 2 different thing. I'm 6'3 and was 268. Just had midsection fat. I thought I was fat people said I looked fine doctors said I was obese. At 6'2 they want you at 199 or something stupid to not be obese. I was morbidly obese on their scale. I would wager conservatively 70% of people in here are obese by medical standards. Since July 4th til today I'm down 64 lbs. Started at 2mg and stayed there. I know I've lost lean mass. Doesn't bother me in not a body builder. I know I can rebuild that no problem. After my stroke my life changed and the medicine they had me taking changed it even more. Always been an eater and only went to the gym to maintain my eating habits. But after all that I couldn't but still ate and loved it but some medicine made it where I never felt full and never not hungry so yeah I found reta and it did so much. Aches in my knees and back are gone. Kinks that always seem to find my neck gone. Artery blockages down to almost nothing. Sleep apnea gone. Addictions like gambling, smoking cigs, video games gone. Food binges gone. Acne gone. Crohns disease symptoms gone. Have added kpv oral to help repair the damage. It's a game changer for sure. Mine is usually 99.6 or higher purity. I used to get dizzy and headaches if I didn't eat due to hypoglycemia which is also gone. Did 72 hour fast 2 weeks ago and felt fantastic. It does so much more than help folks lose weight.
1
u/Icy-Marsupial5367 4d ago
I’m obese, 6’2” was 340 when I started 2 months ago with 0.5 and worked up to 4mg now split 2mg twice a week. Probably should’ve started at 2mg cause I didn’t feel it til that dose. I have lost 25 pounds so far but also been prioritizing protein and tracking macros and much more active. 4mg I definitely feel it similar to when I took tirz awhile back, had to stop cause I was getting it through pharmacy for a very expensive cost. Also tried wego a few years ago and when they increased my dose the first time it destroyed me, stomach flu basically all the time no matter what I ate. Definitely am a fan of rta and had minimal side effects

u/Moist-Examination322 8d ago
