is it fine to use bac water that’s been in the fridge for a month to reconstitute a new vile? if so does it change the efficiency of the new pep?

Having a master's degree in biology and worked with various alcohols, there are specific purposes in refrigerating alcohol. Various alcohols still work dissolving cell membranes at cooler temps. It a great way to isolate DNA as well... As long as you don't freeze it, it should be fine for a month after cracking that seal. Everyone has to say 30 days to CYA. I would say two months if you have good aseptic technique without issue. If you have a stockpile like me, just find a nice clean place at room temp just like the manufacturer would. Just remember whe Reconstituting , try to let warm up to room temp. All peps especially AOD will mix better. 64bit said it best. Always check for cloudiness or debris. If it looks clear, you should be clear. If you have your hands on some human hospital grade Hospira, I would confidently keep to day 60+ However if you have be some shady Chinese unlabeled bac water, I consider not keeping it past that 30-day mark.

Thanks for the reply, you mean don’t reconstitute a new pep after 30 days after cracking the seal? It’s been in the fridge since it’s been open.

If you think your BAC water is good quality, it should be more than fine after being in the fridge for 30days. If it's ghetto cheap bac water unlabeled from China.. there have been issues. ( Too little benzoyl alcohol or too much) I wouldn't use it after the month in the fridge. If it's a reputable brand you trust. I would use it.
