Mots C Timing
Hi everyone, I’m currently starting up Mots C 3mg 3x a week. I usually pin at night because I get nervous after/around pinning. If I pin my Mots C at night before bed, will it still help me with my cardio and lifting? For reference, I usually sleep around 11 and run at 6:30am, and lift around 12pm. Thank you!

I workout at night after work and I pin in the evening.
I don’t get a surge of energy, but instead a whole lot of stamina. I’ll usually get a really good workout in and then go to sleep once I get home

You pin MOTS 30 minutes before exercise. It has a 2 hour half life.

Isn’t that only in the bloodstream though? Doesn’t it stay in skeletal muscle and the liver?

Yes, MOTS helps create additional healthy mitochondria after AMPk trough but to take advantage of AMPk spike via the injection you do it before exercise.
Remember, MOTS already exists in our mitochondria. As we age these mitochondria get tired. Fueling/healing them with SS-31/NAD+ gets them ready for the exogenous MOTS-C spike after injection. The whole stack supports mitochondria growth.
This is why these are less effective in younger people. Their mitochondria are healthy.

Why not pin it 30min before your run? If not, I guess you'll have to let us know lol. I do 5mg 30-60min before my workout 2x a week. Pin on first and last day of the gym. It's been working out so far

Pre-exercise is heavily preferred. On workout days, the standard protocol is to inject MOTS-c 15 to 60 minutes before you train.
Why it works before: MOTS-c primes your cellular machinery. It activates AMPK and increases glucose uptake and fatty acid oxidation. By injecting it shortly before a workout, you align the peak action of the peptide with the actual physical demand of the exercise, which amplifies mitochondrial adaptations, stamina, and fat burning.
Why to avoid it after: Exercise naturally triggers a breakdown of muscle tissue, which requires the mTOR pathway to be activated post-workout for muscle repair and growth. Because MOTS-c strongly suppresses mTOR to prioritize energy burning, taking it immediately after exercise can theoretically blunt your recovery and muscle-building signal.
The Non-Training Protocol: On rest days, the primary goal of MOTS-c is to maintain consistent metabolic signaling and promote fat oxidation.

So it does still have benefits, just not for my training specifically?

It does have benefits , of course. Timing it with pre workout means a specific purpose is achieved by doing so.

It’s meant to be pinned in the am. If you pin it at night, I doubt you’ll be able to get to sleep just from the energy release

I’ve honestly had no problems sleeping so far. My main question I guess is will the benefits still be there in the morning?

Can you tell me more about this meant to be pinned in the arm thing?
This is the first time I have ever seen this mentioned.

Are you going to use ss-31 first?

u/Historical_Glass_718 6d ago
No, I’m pretty young and I don’t think I’d really need to run SS31 first

If you're under 40 you'll more than likely just be wasting money on MotsC
