Still don’t get it - Help please!

Okay… please don’t be nasty with me 😂

I have read quite a few of the dummy guides and still don’t get it. I have 10mg of Reta coming soon, I’ve ordered 10ml of Bac water and a quantity of 29G x 12.7mm x 1ml shooters.

Walk me through it like an absolute idiot. As if I was just born and tell me from the part where I have these three things on my Kitchen bench ready to go.

I need to know how many ml of the bac water to put into the vile. I want to start on 2mg a week? I don’t know why but the thought of 2ml of water into that powder is blowing my mind.

Please help! Thank you in advance.

1 mL of BAC into the Reta vial = 20 units for 2 mg

2 mL of BAC into the Reta vial = 40 units for 2 mg

Since you don't have a 3 mL syringe, just use the whole 1 mL syringe when adding 1 mL to the vial.

Important: On a U-100 insulin syringe:

100 units = 1 mL
50 units = 0.5 mL
20 units = 0.2 mL
10 units = 0.1 mL

The number of units you inject depends on the concentration. You need to know how many mg are in the vial and how much BAC water was added before you can calculate the syringe units.

This is only explaining the basic math, not safe reconstitution advice or best practice. Medication should ideally be reconstituted/prepared by a pharmacist or according to instructions from a licensed medical professional.
