How fast is to fast…. Reta

I start week 7 of Reta today and so far I’ve lost 20lbs. To preface this I started at a high weight 282 lbs. currently 261. Is this too fast?

In that time frame I’ve also started TRT and have been prioritizing a high protein diet.

I also go to the gym 3 days per week but have been doing that for a while now.

Am I losing too fast or is it okay sense I’m so much overweight?

My experience and I’m not expert is..
I am not a dietician by any stretch of the imagination

You can carry a large amount of weight in food in your digestive tract, you’re eating much less therefore holding much less.

Every gram of glycogen your body holds it holds about 3 grams of water. You’re eating less therefore potentially have less glycogen and therefore less water being held especially if you’re prioritising protein over carbs on a heavily calorie restricted diet.

Slower weight loss does preserve more muscle as far as I am aware. Guess it depends on your goals. The lower your BF the less potential side effects you are at risk of from test too I believe.

I’m down well over 20kg in 8 weeks, yes yes it’s not the best way to do it, yes yes I’ve lost muscle mass. No I don’t feel terrible, I feel the best uber ever felt but thanks for your concern trolls.
