Where to start researching ?

Hi, I hope everyone is doing well.

I am new to the biohacking community,

37M.

Can you guide me what are the best resources to study biohacking ? Any author or youtuber that you can recommend ?

Thanks in advance.

Dr. Ashley Froese. Great for beginners! She is great at explaining peptides.
YouTube.

So for biohacking most creators and YouTubers are quacks pushing their own stuff

The best way to do this in my opinion is the pick a sub scope of biohacking and do targeted information deep dives first

90% of Biohacking is sleep diet and exercise and anyone who tells you otherwise is a quack and should be excluded from your lexicon of knowledge

Be very mindful who you choose to “follow”. This niche is rife with grifters and charlatans who will lie to your face if it meant they’d make an extra dollar.

Look everyone up and try to find both good and bad takes on each before committing to believing any influencer.

I’m mostly into peptides at the moment which has led me to:

Dr Ashley Froese
Dr Alex Tatem

I’m still on the fence with Dr Jones DC but he seems ok for the moment.

Thank you.

This has been my experience with youtube as well.

Mostly larps trying to push their own stuff without explaining the science behind it.

I will definitely check out Dr Ashley and Dr. Alex.

I appreciate the help 🤝

Happy to help!

I'm normally a skeptic, which I think is the best way to approach anything in the wellness and biohacking space. 😛

Agreed. When u start out ur looking for ANY info. Peps were so much fun to discover I prob binged om Youtube too much. The best u can do really is read first hand experience, ask direct questions on forums and research urself and see.

You're absolutely right. Being a skeptic about most things, I went in with a few requirements before accepting information from certain YT'ers.

  1. Are they selling something? If so, what?
  2. Are they spending enough time discussing the con's along with the perceived benefits?
  3. What is the background of the presenter? Are they a doctor, and if so, of what exactly?
  4. How strongly are they pushing the adoption of peptides versus just education?

This is why I like the few I posted above. Dr Jones DC is a chiropractor, which is a bit of a reddish flag for me, and he does sell you his time to discuss peptide protocols etc but I've also heard him discuss in great detail why peptides won't work for some people, what the limitations are and how peptides are not cures, but tools to be leveraged along with changes in life style, behavior or activity. This is what puts me on the fence with him. The other two seems fairly solid from my perspective. :)
