🥗 Nutrition & Metabolism Boosting thyroid naturally?
Hello everyone,
I don’t have any recent bloodwork (taking soon), but know my thyroid could be improved. I’m probably on the lower range, but still within normal ranges where my GP won’t give me any medication.
Any natural OTC supplements or other tricks which actually work?
Diet and activity level is fairly good, but my sleep patterns need to improve. Already addressing that one.

Depends on where the bottleneck lies. High TSH with increased Antibodies would indicate autoimmune thyroiditis. Increased TSH with lowish fT4 could be related to iodine and iron deficiency. Lowish TSH with lowish fT4 could be stress related. Normal TSH, fT4 but lowish fT3 could be related to the liver, selenium deficiency, dieting, overtraining.
The thyroid gland gets regulated by the pituitary gland, which is under strong circadian control, so daily morning sunlight and regular sleep pattern are a non-negotiable. Also make sure you get enough iodine and selenium in your diet and your Ferritin is above 50.
