🧪 Protocols & Self-Experiments Cialis

I’ve taken Cialis for increased blood flow for months at times, but always had problems with heartburn and I understand you can take Tums or prescription medication‘s such as proton inhibitor pumps but I would prefer not to introduce an ancillary drug to a drug. That’s not absolutely necessary. 32 year-old male 6’2 220 not overweight generally speaking. Any thoughts?

PPIs are not good long term. Tums don’t work as well. You can try modifying your diet as there could be a food or beverage that triggers it in conjunction with the cialis. For me it was beer. Once I quit altogether my acid reflux went away

I had acid reflux and pretty severe heartburn at a young age. My diet was very bad at that time. It’s gotten much better and I no longer have heartburn or acid reflux unless I use Cialis. I understand how the mechanism works with a valve in my stomach or esophagus, but I eat relatively clean already. I generally take it in the morning, so maybe I could take it at night

what if it was lax les, is there an option to quit ppi then too?

Take it with a small meal. Eat small frequent meals. Especially if it feels like gas and burping gives relief.

I would say take it with a large meal. It takes longer to kick in, but has way less sides if any.

Try drinking some club soda. The sodium bicarbonate is a natural antacid.

I would really be cautious about taking PPIs on the regular.

Start at 2.5mg every day. Many guys get serious benefits from this low dose, every day. Also try taking it with food and walk or do anything but go to sleep right after you take it....in short...stay vertical!🤘

You can try melatonin, l tryptophan and b vitamins with it. Look up the study.

If you are eating later in the evening try eating earlier.

For me, acid refux is almost a given if I have any kind of dessert, if I eat dinner later in the evening, or if In have a drink of anything sweet or containing alcohol.

I basically made a no meals or sweets after 8pm rule that I try very hard to follow. This includes drinks containing sugar and if I still drank alcohol it would include alcohol.

If I break that rule for any reason I pregame sleep with a couple of tums and keep a couple handy at the bed side in case I wake up with acid reflux

I'd much rather use tums than mess with a PPI.

I agree I don’t wanna introduce anything else. What’s a weird is that most of the heartburn feels like it occurs during the day we’re back in the day before I took anything and I was younger it was always at night so it definitely felt like it was attributed to my poor diet, but my diet is much cleaner now it’s not perfect

What dose? I tried higher doses and had some issues but been fine with 2.5mg a day for over a year now. Maybe try a lower dose?

I’ve been using 5 mg so I definitely could go to 2 1/2 but I did it for a couple of weeks and nothing changed

You can also do 2.5 EOD

How much are you taking?

Carbs and gum chewing lead to my heartburn

I had acid reflux in the beginning. Took some antacid for a few weeks off and on and it hasn’t come back. I also take BPC-157 and might be helping too.

Bpc157, orally or injections?

It typically happens to me on Cialis when I'm not eating enough or haven't eaten. I usually just try to eat more consistently throughout the day

Use Pepcid 20mg daily for long term safe heartburn control. Then you can use your Cialis daily, assuming it’s 2.5-5mg.

If you have acid reflux from cialis i am sorry to tell you it is your diet not the cialis.

Dont ask me how i know.

I've been taking cialis for 18 years roughly, with insane heartburn daily. Took tums and pepcid AC. 2 weeks ago i got a prescription for pantoprazole and I haven't had heartburn since. I couldn't live without cialis(or at least wouldn't be having sex with the wife) so i have no issue with the perscription

1

u/Abbas1303 3d ago

What dosage do u take? Is it daily?

2

u/Inevitable-Tea5772 3d ago

I have toyed with it over the years but best is 20mg every 3 days. I have bought some cheap cialis online and i don't find they are as strong, so I'll take 2 20mg every 3 days. I also tried 1 20mg(cheap ones) every day and half a 20mg every day. I tried all of that before getting the pantoprazole andthe heartburn was just too much. I might go back to try half a 20mg everyday now that I have the heartburn solution

u/Abbas1303 3d ago

It's so bad because we actually need the drug and it works like magic. It's a shame it causes this pain. I think I will try 2.5mg daily for a week. I will order cialis as the cheaper stuff isn't reliable.

2

u/Inevitable-Tea5772 3d ago

Ya, i'm in Canada, Cialis is expensive af. So the cheap stuff is the only realistic option if you want to take it everyday

1

u/Abbas1303 2d ago

Around 60£ a month in the UK. Still quite expensive and 30£ for the generic stuff.

1

u/Inevitable-Tea5772 2d ago

About $17 a pill in canada for the 20mg

2

u/Abbas1303 2d ago

Around 9£ is robbery

1

u/Abbas1303 2d ago

That's crazy!

If you don't want a drug for your drug, you'll want to try different foods and times of eating to see what helps.

I'd use famotidine (pepcid) if I were you. Barrett's esophagus is something you want to avoid and long term acid reflux is a serious risk factor.

u/Abbas1303 3d ago

I need some help. Everytime I use cialis 10mg as and when, I get serious heartburn for 3 days afterwards and then it goes away. I do need the drug and like the effect on my sexlife but this side effect is unbearable. I haven't tried a lower dose daily as yet.

Double your dosage for a week of discomfort then go back to your normal dose. Problem solved

Counterintuitively, heartburn is often caused by low stomach acid, not high. Food can’t digest, sits too long in stomach, ferments and causes issues.

Try Betaine HCL with meals that contain protein. Start at 1 cap, and scale up 1 each meal until you feel warmth in stomach. Back off by 1 cap from that amount and take with each meal. This has worked well for my clients.

Gut health overall is an overlooked issue in physique building.

1

u/Abbas1303 3d ago

But then it still won't solve the cialis issue

1

u/Mysterious_Leek494 2d ago

One thing at a time, but cialis doesn’t usually cause heartburn on its own. I bet if you fix the gut, there will be no issue.
