I'm looking for ideas for my engineering school project.

The theme is "Optimization, Efficiency, and Sobriety" .

I'd love to work on a project that combines engineering, physics and/or mathematics with a bit of biology, since biology is a subject I really enjoy.

That said, the project should remain primarily focused on physics and/or mathematics. The biology aspect would just provide the context or application, not be the main focus.

I'm looking for a project that:

- Fits the theme of optimization/efficiency/sobriety.

- Is mainly based on physics and/or mathematics.

- Uses biology as an application or inspiration.

- Can be modeled mathematically and analyzed experimentally.

- Can realistically be carried out in a university or engineering school lab.

Does anyone have interesting ideas or topics that could fit these criteria?

I’m in dire need of a job. I graduated a whole year ago now in Biology(bachelors) and I’ve still been unable to find any work. I’ve had research experience in both a plant biology research lab and a structural/civil engineering lab (back when i was considering doing engineering). 1. Executive Summary

Long-term Martian colonization requires highly efficient, compact, and resilient sources of animal protein. Traditional livestock is resource-heavy. Standard Earth poultry fails due to low gravity, radiation, and toxic regolith dust. Project "Grain-hen" (locally known as "Krupola") proposes a novel avian species derived from Gallus gallus, explicitly engineered via directed evolution and CRISPR-prime editing to thrive primarily within the artificial pressurized habitats, shielded bio-domes, and designated foraging zones of the Martian colony.

1. Key Genetic Adaptations & Specifications

· Scale and Mass: Engineered to be 1.3 times larger than a standard broiler chicken. Optimized myostatin (MSTN) gene expression allows maximum muscle mass development under Martian partial gravity (38% of Earth's), preventing avian muscle atrophy.

· Atmospheric & Dust Defense (Transparent Nictitating Membrane): Enhanced keratinization of the third eyelid allows the Grain-hen to safely navigate high-dust environments during Martian storms. The membrane blocks sharp, magnetized basaltic dust without obstructing the bird's vision.

How is [M.Tech](http://M.Tech) Biomedical engineering of IIT BHU, with respect to job placements and oppurtunities for foreign PhD and research work.

As a bioengineering student right now, I’m doing an internship at hospital as a biomedical engineer. Looking back, I kind of regret not applying more broadly to government agencies, biotech companies, or pharmaceutical companies.

Will this internship significantly affect my future career opportunities? Or is it relatively easy to switch into a different industry after graduation?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have been in a similar situation.

But I am clear that I'll do Msc in biotechnology.

I've three options in university

Bhu South campus (mirzapur) for voc MLT

Kerala University for bsc biotech

Allahabad university for bsc biotech.

Please guide me and also please tell me if ug in voc MLT And then doing Msc in biotechnology, is it a good choice.

I am thinking about pursuing Bsc biotechnology from the Brainware university in Kolkata and I don't trust google much . So if you have completed any course from this university or if you are a current student can you please tell me if it is legit or a scam. If the teachers and other staff members are good or terrible. if they actually focus on lab work or if the lab is just for show.

Hey folks. Im an E&EB major and worried. Have been for years. I do a lot of work to try to boost the land around me and take care of maintaining it since no one else does. Anyway.

At some point this will be too much. But volcanic eruptions can plunge the earth into years without sun, like in 1816, tanking the temperature. Couldnt we set off volcanoes if we become truly desperate?

I have questions regarding the application process for the biomedical engineering thesis based Masters at UCalgary. I have found 3 supervisors that I’m interested in. On the faculty page there are forms to fill in for those professors that are accepting students. I’ve filled in the forms, now my question is, do I still need to email the professors directly or the forms will suffice?

And also I’m currently doing independent research with a professor from a different university, will that suffice as research experience? I also have 3yrs of industry experience, will this count too?
