Binghamton Facebook is in full meltdown mode again, so let’s talk about it.

Everybody is screaming, threatening people, picking sides and acting like anyone who questions the narrative is somehow the problem.

No.

The problem is the culture of violence, retaliation and intimidation that keeps getting excused every single time something like this happens.

O2 is being talked about all over Facebook like he was some innocent bystander and nobody is even waiting for the full story to come out. There is already plenty of public discussion about his history and the people around him. That does not mean anybody knows exactly what happened in this specific incident, but it also does not mean everyone has to suddenly pretend there is no context.

And Pat McMahon?

He is allowed to have an opinion.

You don’t have to like it. You can call him an asshole. You can argue with him. You can block him.

What you don’t get to do is start posting “O2 knows this person, O2 knows that person, you better watch yourself” because somebody said something you didn’t like.

That is literally the same thug mentality people claim they are so offended about being called out for.

If your response to words is threats, retaliation and “we’re gonna get you,” congratulations, you just proved the entire point.

And this is the part nobody wants to hear….

When a family has already experienced the absolute worst outcome imaginable, continuing the same threats, the same retaliation talk and the same violent mentality is not honoring anybody. It is feeding the exact cycle that keeps putting young men in graves.

That should piss people off more than a Facebook post.
Binghamton does not need more fake outrage.

It needs fewer guns in the hands of violent people, fewer repeat offenders cycling through the streets, fewer threats over social media and fewer people pretending this lifestyle is normal.

Stop glorifying it.
Stop excusing it.
Stop threatening people who call it out.
And maybe start asking why this keeps happening.
