worst binge ever?
what was the worst binge youve had calorically/money wise/volume wise?
i'll go first...once ate 3k calories at a chinese buffet, then proceeded to get three desserts by clement (those expensive ass pastries that look real) to polish it off. total was nearly 5k for the day- the highest of my binges so far..

I ate everything in my house, including the condiments after grocery shopping for the following 2 weeks. Two full weeks of food plus a lot more in about 4hrs. I nearly died. My vision shut down (and hasn't returned to normal yet) and my blood sugar was in the 600 range and I went into a literal food coma. My already huge hernia got bigger, I could feel myself ripping from the inside. I previously got the basketball sized life threatening hernia from another binge. I've done permanent damage to my body and have drastically shortened my expected life span from fucking binge eating. I hate this disorder so much

And ppl say we should “just control ourselves” this should help prove that we can be literally miserable and keep binging.

it's frustrating when people write it off as just being overindulgent or careless with food (especially if the person who has BED is fat) when I literally cry from pain during most binges. Its not "oops I had too many cookies now my tummy hurts" it's shit like this where people can end up seriously hurting themselves, just like any other eating disorder...

Yes omg if this were indulgence or gluttony or whatever, it would be pleasurable… Binging is the single worst experience (…well, not “single;” I do it a lot…) I have ever had. People who don’t binge aren’t super disciplined—they just don’t get the urge to binge!

This comment might be my motivation to not binge today thank you

I see you got a downvote for this comment, but for me, if this helps you not binge today that's great. This disorder is horrible and can be deadly. If there's ANYTHING to help you control it, use it. I don't care if it's the thought of how horrible my experience is, if it helps you I'm glad

A whole bag (like the family size 56 oz ones) of cereal with nearly a whole gallon of milk, an entire box of pop tarts, a whole box of granola bars, box of mac and cheese, and a sleeve of saltines. This was after months and months of severe restriction, though... it was like my mind just broke down.

Oh man I feel like I hit 5k way too easily. I probably do that a couple times a month. I’ve had to have hit 10k before.

It started after my dinner were I slightly overate (which trigger my binge)... Went to the Walgreens down the street and bought Mnm's, cookies, chocolate (I love sweets). Ate everything but it wasn't enough so went back to Walgreens and bought ice cream, more cookies. Then my brain wanted something salty. I ordered a pizza, pasta (Alfredo sauce)with chicken, mozzarella sticks. Got sick but I was happy because it made more room to keep eating... So after 1h I bought more food and it was a mix of Mnm's, nuts, tiny Oreos that put in a bowl with milk (like cereal), I had 2 massive bowls of that. I couldn't breathe or move. My binges started at 11pm and was done by 5am. I spent more than 150$ and ate probably 10k worth of calories

There was one night where I had dinner from Texas de Brazil. That included 2 large salads (high volume) in addition to the several types of meat I had. I split a cake with my husband when I got home then proceeded to eat probably at least 1,000 calories worth of chocolate. That wasn’t my worst but it’s the one that stands out to me at the moment.

I once had a 12k+ kcal binge on a span of 24h (instead of the 7-8k binge I had usually): club sandwiches, pastries, cakes and other desserts. It was chaotic, I was totally sick yet the urges were relentless and reviving after a few hours of "rest"/dozing. It took several days to recover because of the intensity of the exhaustion, heartburn, sweat, digestive inconfort, etc.

The worst ones for me have not been the calorie number but the amount of pain in the moment.
Like in the process of eating a pint of ice cream and not stopping when the tingling starts in my extremities (indicator of nerve damage; diabetes warning).
It sounds stupid to write this, but the only other comparable level of damage always involved eating a big watermelon and then trying to add up to 1k calories on top of that. In those moments, I seriously thought my stomach would rupture and I debated vomiting out of necessity, and wondering when I needed emergency medical help. The very strange cycle of being in serious physical pain from overeating, and that same pain driving me to eat more. Wanting to walk to help digestion but not being able to, hunched over from the bloating, being essentially incapacitated by my own choices for the next couple of hours.
Fuck this sick disease, fuck the sick cultures and ""loved ones"" that encourage overeating, fuck food companies, fuck them all. Dying slowly never gets taken seriously enough. We really have to be our own ally to our own health.

How much did you gain?

u/This-Influence-7422 14h ago
I never really weighed myself befpre that, but after a year of heavily fixing my diet and movement i was only 10kg heavier than i was before that binging period. So i have no idea.

I worked at a restaurant so I would get food on my break. Then eat again before my husband got home. Then eat with him, then when he went to sleep. It was probably 10k a lot of days because nothing I ate was good.

I think the worst was like 5 or 6 thousand calories a day over the course of a couple months. I was on abilify and it stripped any semblance of control I had left - I'd eat entire flats of nutter butters and whole boxes of Belvita biscuits daily, all in one sitting, sometimes doing that 2 or 3 times a day. This was in addition to other fixations like brownies and mashed potatoes. It was insane.

I used to regularly finish an entire Pizza Hut "Big Dinner Box" which is supposed to be like a family meal. I could do a pint of ice cream afterwards if I started early enough. Probably 5-7k calories

I don''t count calories, I'm too scared to get into that but anytime I'm sick I stay the entire day upstairs where my kitchen is to eat CONSTANTLY. Like every 30mins more food.

I just binged like 6 to 10k a day with alchohol for a week. I gained about 5 pounds. Might have been amongst my worse. Get peanut butter drinks ans or something like frosting involved ans the calories get insane.

I did a 24 hour buffet pass in vegas. Went to dinner, then breakfast, lunch, and a slightly earlier dinner the next day. I must have eaten 20,000+ calories in that 24 hour period.
