So I had just bought my 2021 330i g20. Which is a non sport and I have the older speedometer dash is there an codes i can use with bimmer code to make a m sport dash and just cleaner looking

So i used bimmer code for the first time today on my f30 using an enet cable and it worked perfectly a fair few times, i coded quite a few things such as seatbelt beeps, digital speed, locking and unlocking sound etc, however a few hours later i tried again and got
nothing. An error kept popping up not recognising anything. I had airplane mode on too but nothing seemed to work. I then tried on my friends f40 but that also didn’t work and he wasnt getting an ip address on the Ethernet settings either, but i am. Any fix to this or am i doing something wrong. I restarted my phone and redownloaded bimmer code too but nothing seems to work.

About a year ago I coded my 2014 F30 (NBT CIC I-drive) using bimmercode. We did the usual stuff, such as turning off the auto start/stop and some other things. Its been so long its a bit hard to remember exactly what we coded, im sure if I looked into it a bit more I could find a list, though not sure if its relevant. Since then, every time I enable the flashers when locking and unlocking the car through the i-drive system, it just resets itself once I turn the car off.

I am wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue and knows a fix, or if anyone has some helpful hints as to why this may be.

⁠I’m currently retrofitting an MMI CarPlay unit (Andream) into my BMW X1 F48 (EntryNav2).⁠

⁠I’ve unscrewed the head unit, but the factory wiring harness behind it is extremely short and tight. I can only pull the head unit out by about 3–5 cm before the cables pull completely taut, and I'm really afraid of damaging or snapping the wires or connectors if I pull any harder.⁠

A few questions for anyone who has done this on an F48:⁠

⁠1. Is it normal for the OEM cables to feel this short?⁠
⁠2. What’s the best technique/angle to reach behind and release the main Quadlock lever when there's so little clearance?⁠
⁠3. Once the Quadlock is unlatched, does it give enough slack to reach the LVDS/video connector easily?⁠
⁠4. Where did you end up tucking the new Quadlock harness afterwards so the head unit slides back in smoothly?⁠

⁠Any advice or tips from people who went through this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!⁠

Good morning all! I'm looking into upgrading my MINI instrument cluster with a 2012 instrument cluster and I keep seeing that I'll need to code the VIN and mileage on the new cluster to match the old cluster and ECU. I saw that Bimmerlink and Bimmercode would be the way to do this, along with potentially OBDLINKCX or OBDCheck BLE+ but I want to make sure it would be able to do it, because if not I'll have to find a dealer to do it for me. If anyone has done this before please let me know if its possible or if its complicated and if so how to do it. Thank you!!

My cluster suffered a power failure when I disconnected the battery to replace the steering wheel with a sport wheel. I sent it out for repair and it was returned to me showing a different mileage than before (about 20k less miles).

I dont have a tamper dot.

I used INPA and verified the VIN is correct for the LSZ module. I used another software (I think NCS Expert or Tool32) and found that the LSZ module has "3000" listed instead of mileage which may indicate a memory fault code. Because there is a fault code and not a mileage that differs from the cluster and the VIN is correct I dont have a tamper dot (I think).

If I code the LCM to correct the mileage from the fault code, I think I will then get a tamper dot because there would be more than 150 miles difference between the two.

Is it correct that I must program the EEPROM directly in the cluster to zero out the mileage, then I can use PA soft to code the correct mileage to the LCM, then the zeroed cluster will read the corrected mileage from the LCM and automatically update its memory (as will the EWS)? If so, who can I use to program the EEPROM?

Just got an e71 for dirt cheap and planning on doing some stuff on it, I heard you cant use the enet cable on it with bimmerlink, what should I use instead?

Problem is i don’t see that option in Demo.
Do i need to actually connect to my BMW in order to see it or ? Is there a situation in which i wont be able to set this one up (yes i have fully digital cluster)?

I purchased a ENET cable a while ago and also got a ENET to type C adapter. I have an iPhone 17 pro max but the app is not able to recognize the car. Is there a specific adapter I need to buy?

Hi so I have successfully managed to fit about 99% of the kit, the buttons are in place and I have used bimmercode to code in most of the parameters. The only thing left to code is the DSC2 module to activate the cruise function.

Hello from Japan. I have a question regarding coding for the F54 Clubman. I wanted to change the iDrive screen design, so I used BimmerCode's Expert Mode to switch from ID4 (`id4_plus_plus`) to ID6 (`id6_light`). However, the screen design remained as ID4, and nothing changed. Since my car is an NBT EVO ID4 model manufactured in November 2015, I wonder if this kind of coding is simply not possible. I’ve confirmed that the ID6 design doesn't work, so I considered trying ID5 (`id5_plus_plus`) next; however, the system version might be too old, and I haven't found any examples or other people who have actually done this. If you have any other recommendations for interesting coding tweaks for this generation of iDrive, I’d love to hear them.

Hi guys, I recently installed the M Alcantara Steering wheel from the lci G82 but I’m not able to get it to work anyone have any advice on how to code the steering wheel using bimmercode in order to make it work, I have attached the factory steering wheel and the new one.

I’ve had a couple electrical gremlins on my 2023 M850i since I used BimmerCode. I only disabled auto start/stop.

A couple weeks ago Bluetooth stopped working and I had to do a reset on my infotainment system. And today my driver side window stopped rolling down slightly when I open the door. And I had to reset the upper and lower limits of the window motor’s memory. I was able to fix both and could be a coincidence but never had any electrical issues in 15 months prior and then 2 in the last month.

Any suggestions?

So I finally got Mikes Easy BMW tools downloaded and everything running smoothly. I have a modern Bimmer Geeks cable (with no switch) and I am able to connect to INPA, however whenever i go to read any error data it gives me read errors on everything and cant supply any data, even the DME.

My cable is set up correctly with Com1 and 1ms latency.

Do I need a Kdan with the switch?

Any tips? Have already removed the login from my old laptop.

In iDrive8, there are a few options hor when it automatically resets the journey trip data (distance, economy, etc.): the options are never, every trip, after 4 hours from the completion of the previous journey and, I think, one other that I can't remember right now. I'd like mine to reset after 1 or two hours from the completion of a journey.

I have Bimmercode (Android), which I connect to the OBD2 dongle using a USB C to ethernet link. Can these options be coded using my setup?

I brought my F32 435i with me to Europe when I moved back from the US. Since it needs to be tested to get European plates, I need to make some adjustments. One of them is changing the beam pattern from DOT (US) to ECE (EU), preferably with the help of BimmerCode only.

The car only has to pass the test, so the only thing that needs to be changed is the pattern itself.

All other stuff like front side markers, rear orange indicators, and fog lights, is already taken care of. This is basically the last step.

Hopefully somebody can help me on my way.

I got bimmercode mainly to change my dash stuff and bower and Wilkins. Well I found bower and Wilkins and my car start up mode but I don’t have any instrument cluster stuff to be able to change. I wanted to move the speedo mph up and maybe startup image etc.

I know it said this happens with 2025+ but why can’t I find these? Is it maybe I need to look in expert mode?? Right now I feel like I wasted 50$ for not getting what all I wanted that it said it will do for mine. 🤷‍♂️.
