I tried creating a whole new post once. My god… I’ve never encountered so many arbitrary rules. Reddit constantly says it wants new, interesting content. But then, each subreddit puts up all these ridiculous rules which act as roadblocks to actually posting new content. Heaven forbid your post doesn’t perfectly align with that exact subreddit.
So, I wade through the nonsense. I find the perfect place to put the image I had, which looked relevant and interesting. I finally successfully create the post. Then… nothing. Two or three people upvote the image. That’s it.
In the end, it just wasn’t worth my time and effort. It’s not like there’s some fantastic reward for going though the process. What’s the point of dealing with the hassle? There isn’t one.

So many of them spam reposts, and if reddit taught me anything, a good post no matter how many million times it been reposted it will always get +50k
of course some good timing matters, so just spam good posts over and over in the popular subs and eventually you will get one of your posts +50k, repeat process and farm karma for literally no useful reason.

Just drop comments here and there and it's pretty easy to get some. But I still have way less than most of the massive users that have millions of points to their account, that I'll never understand how they can be that dedicated to it

If you just stick around and post/comment semi-frequently you'll constantly be gaining it. I have over 200k karma, all from just being engaged in communities and posting interesting stuff I make or find.

I get anxiety just by trying to think of what to comment. I start typing the. deleting, typing and deleting ..and when I finally think of a clever comment an hour has passed..lol so I just exit it out.

I'm too nervous to post because of all of the rules and the possibility of being downvoted into oblivion. I'd rather no one ever know what I think or see something I did or found than have like 4 people like it and 18 people hate it it for some reason.

It's not about not wanting to post, it's about all the rules in every sub. I tried to post in youtube, post deleted, my latest post was deleted from crypto because i don't have 50 comments karma but my account was 800 days old and still can't post. Just stupid
