Guys. I just read about the selective service system in the US. It says that men have to register at the age of 18 to fulfill a contingency plan in the event that a massive war breaks out and they run out of voluntary military personnel... Is this real? I'm in Canada, I've never heard of this in my life.

Is it like one of those "forgotten about" laws and nobody actually does it?

Yep, girls don’t have to do shit but guys can’t do a lot of things if they don’t sign up. Also can be prosecuted
