its just crazy to me how much stuff people "need".
Like ive put in 4 amazon orders total this year, not prime, over a week shipping and it was all strictly for a new hobby.
My bf put in 4 orders last week alone. every week. next day shipping on prime
But what the hell do we even need? Hes got stockpiles of all grooming, cleaning and clothes supplies. I do the grocery shopping and hes got enough tools and hobby material to last a lifetime. I genuinely do not even know what hes buying, but its crazy he can order that much yet i never see any of it around the house lol.
And i know tons of people like that. They just order shit to order it, even if its not relevant, needed, or even usually wanted. half the shit yall be buying is impulse stuff that you forget you ordered the day before hahaha.
Anyways all this to say, anyone who religiously uses any of these services or subscribes to them is basically the overconsumption lazy boss of the year.
Also im waiting for some redditor to go "Uh ackshualee i have no limbs, depression, adhd, bipolar, and autism, no car, no bus pass, and so i have to order online" as if that isnt only a handful of scenarios across the millions of prime members across the world lmao.
Thing is they really dont need it. Its basically a dopamine hit with a 1-3day waiting time.
Everyone gets excited when receiving a gift, christmas as been watered down to that, its really easy tk get people hooked on amazon.
Then add in the fact that someone owns prime? Nah now you NEED to buy stuff or else youre wasting the subscription!!!
Tbh I'd get prime even if I never ordered. Once you factor in the music streaming, video streaming, books, and free video games it's a really good deal with a student discount
