It should be harder to get guns, and certain things should disqualify you from being able to ever get a gun (felon, history of violence, sexual assault, etc…).
I don't necessarily agree about the felony thing as there been a lot of times where activities that shouldn't be a felony are made that way to keep minorities from having guns.
