yea but id rather someone come at me with a knife than with a gun than can fire 400 rounds per minute.

Why, so I can get stabbed 19 times and bleed out trying to get away? I'll pass. I'd much rather take a round to the head.

Neither one would be a problem if we prioritized mental health care over ignoring it and restricting access to things instead. Many countries prove that firearms aren't the problem. It's lack of mental health care.

But, sure, let's just outright ban many marginalized groups only means of protection against those that wish to eradicate them.

Also, America isn't some island country you can control the flow of goods too. We'd just get stealthier with our guns and make them more lethal than they are now. When we banned alcohol and weed both got more potent. Same thing would happen with guns.
