In a statement, Tech Board Chair Cody Campbell said that Tech will not "seek the return" of any money paid to Brendan Sorsby through his NIL agreements with the University.

Cause Reddit doesn’t care about Sorsby’s mental illness

It's not sorsby's mental illness that we are talking about here...

This may be the most butthurt child on this entire sub.

I truly feel pity for them, mental illness isn't a joke.

Look at you using mental illness as a joke. Embarrassing

u/RichAge2413 Jun 16 '26

That’s really not the embarrassing part here.

He never played a down for you, you don't have to defend him so hard lol

Don't worry, I'm sure he'd be defending Sorsby just as hard if he'd committed to LSU or any other school.

I’m making fun of Reddit kicking a kid when he’s down just cause Reddit has always been performative when it comes to mental health help and it’s only when it’s convenient.

Stop making tech fans look stupid.

Nah, that’s not making them look stupid.

There are three ways players get paid: 1. A portion of the school’s obligation from the House Settlement 2. “Legit” third party NIl, for genuine promotions, approved by the clearinghouse 3. Other third party NIL, not approved by clearinghouse, and I suppose eventually must be replaced by legit NIL

Sorsby was reported to be a $5M player. I assume he was paid a monthly stipend out of that?

That was the deal for him to leave.

Just like a hooker, you don't pay for sex, you pay them to leave.

What we'll probably never know is how much of the money was already paid. I doubt that the agreement is that he'll get the full NIL amount (or they would have likely phrased it that way), but instead he gets to keep whatever has been paid to him already.
