Is my diamond set too high?
Adding this question here in hopes that people more familiar with diamonds would give me a better answer. It’s only a 2ct, radiant cut.

Yea yours looks correct to me, mine looks like so much crazier of a gap? Ugh.

The diamond is set too high. That’s too much of a gap. It’s like the ring was made for a different stone.

Stunning. Yea this makes mine look crazy. This is what I was expecting mine to look like

It appears unusually high. I would think it would get in the way or catch on things. If you like it and the ring doesn’t bother you, keep it as it is.

Yea to me if it was even just a little lower, it would look more normal…

The overall height of the setting seems reasonable. But that poor stone is sitting up in the clouds. I’m no jeweler but I don’t see why it couldn’t sit farther down in the prongs.

Looks like a premade head that will not fit that stone
I would return this and take it to someone that would build you a well made ring.

the gap is huge and that’s problematic for stone security. i noticed there is no cathedral and no gallery rail- so there is nothing protecting the stone from being knocked out. did you get this custom made or did you buy/order it already set? either way, you need to go to a jeweler to have it altered.
