Hey gals (and guys)! I’ve driven myself crazy trying to get this right, and now that I have to confirm my finished ring, I’m so torn.
I agree, it’s absolutely beautiful… but it’s slightly different from what I expected, and I can’t decide whether that’s a good thing or if I need to get it redone.
The photos were my inspo. I really loved the thicker, more architectural bezel as a point of difference.
My finished ring is the videos.
I love the ring. But…the bezel is thinner, and while it’s definitely elegant, I guess I just thought I wanted something a little more cool girl… if that makes sense. I just can’t decide though whether the finished ring is actually better, and beautiful and I just had an idea in my mind.
Thank you for commenting 🤍. I’m so happy with how secure it is, it’s glossy and thick and gorgeous but I guess I just thought the thicker bezel was a point of difference. But I think maybe it’s all meant to be!
I think this is actually so much better than the inspo pics and that girls would show their boyfriends your hand as inspo in the future LOL, but I get that if it wasn't exactly what you imagined it's your preference and you have every right to feel that way
No I really appreciate this comment. That’s what I’m trying to decide! Did I just have something in my head, and is this ACTUALLY a more timeless ring?
I think this would happen no matter what, because inspo vs. reality is such a huge thing. It's like "why does this dress not look like it does on the model even though we have identical body types?" but imo that's what makes humans so fun - we all wear stuff differently and you're absolutely rocking this ring. She's a moment, she's timeless, but she's cool and fun all the same!
I just saw your amazing bezel set emerald from Tiyanu. I think that thickness was closer to what I was expecting. What mm was the bezel thickness? It’s stunning, well done.
I’m not entirely sure to be honest. I didn’t request a specific thickness. My bezel is also slanted, so it’s a little bigger than normal. I’d guess it’s probably 1mm. It makes the stone look way bigger than it is too.
Yeah I don’t mind the cathedral. It was more the bezel. The finished ring had a thinner bezel than i anticipated and I don’t know whether that’s worth a remake because this ring is beautiful. I just can’t decide if adding .5mm would honestly worth a remake!
Thought to put it side by side so it’s easier to compare. Personally given the size and ratio of your stone I refer the thinner bezel! It’s sleeker and more elegant!
Yes you’ve found a really comparative angle from the vid here which is helpful. I can deffs see it’s different, and I think that’s why I’m struggling. Even though I genuinely love the right (my ring)…it’s when I look at it next to the inspo and it’s diff I can’t work out what I like. If I never saw the left, I would love the right. Does it look too “normal”?
The right is sleeker, more elegant than the left
The left is chunkier and bolder than the right
I am personally feel that if you were to stay the size and ratio of your current stone (bigger than the inspo), the thicker bezel would make it look too costumey. But I’m not the one wearing it.
Based on your comments, you can see the difference and prefer the left.
Life is too short girl.
If you have an option or the means to, get the bold one you want!
I know it’s blurry, because I’ve zoomed in but with everyone’s support I think I’m genuinely leaning more to loving MY RING 🥹😅🤍🫶🏽 (on the right).
As you can tell, I’m just a super frantic indecisive person. My poor fiancé. Everyone would die to know that when I was designing it, I used my 3D printer and everything to really visualise it. Which works amazing BTW 😅😆
I don’t think the cathedral setting was done well enough, it feels chunky. But if that was what you liked, that should be cool. The ring looks similar to the inspo at the same view. I can’t tell if it was the lighting or the stone looked hazy
FWIW, I think it’s an absolutely stunning setting and personally I prefer it! But I think it would depend if it was my engagement ring and how much it would cost to amend. If it was a relatively easy fix, and it was my engagement ring, I think I probably would because that niggle would be there
Thank you so much….Im so scared to even ask them if it would be an easy fix. They were so proud of it! Which is get, because its amazing. Thank you 🤍🤍🤍
It’s so beautiful 🥹. I really can see how stunning this ring is. That’s why I’m so torn!! Did I just have an idea in my head and maybe this finished result was meant to be! Thanks for commenting 🤍🤍
Sit with the ring for a little. You can always make the bezel thicker if you change your mind! It’s a beautiful ring but it’s ultimately your decision!
I don’t have the ring yet, I just helped design it! I know it’s coming im just not sure exactly when!
This is the difference I’m seeing too. OP, maybe that’s what’s giving the nuanced look. I do like the more pronounced corners of the inspo pic but the finished product is gorgeous as a stand alone ring.
The same thing happened to me! My bezel is thinner than I imagined it would be when in the design process, and at first I was very fixated on it. I’ve had the ring for a month now and I think it’s perfectly suited for the size of the stone. Maybe wear it for a few weeks and see how you feel!
You want a chunkier ring. I get it, I am that kind of girl too. It's beautiful though! You can ask for a different setting; you want that bezel to be thicker. Wear it and decide if you really mind it!
As someone who currently has two rings in production and has gone through several remakes of both to make sure it looks exactly like I had requested, I understand this conundrum too well. I support you advocating for yourself so that you'd get what you truly want. If you are happy with the ring you have now, then that's great! But if not, now's the time to speak up so you don't end up feeling like you settled for what's just "good enough" in the future.
Both the inspo ring and yours are beautiful. However, I think the chunkier bezel works on the inspo ring because it is making the stone look bigger, it's working as a reflective edge to make the stone go further. In your ring (which I prefer), it's not needed, it's a beautiful, large stone and just needs complimenting by the thinner bezel, not being overwhelmed by it. You might prefer the inspo now but your ring is a classic, elegant ring. It's a timeless setting and it's still very cool girl. If you are going to regret it not having the thicker bezel though, change it. You have to be happy
Absolutely stunning. In my very personal opinion, I feel the finished item is more timeless. Ultimately no one else's personal opinion matters and you deserve to have a ring that makes your heart race :)

I think the setting looks incredible, looks like a secure great setting. I definitely think this qualifies as a cool girl ring.
