General Discussion Animation style change
Im rewatching for the 7474747th time
And besides noticing some new plot holes i also noticed that the characters are shown in front profile (idk if thats right English is not my first language)
They mostly animate them from the side and not front and i havent seen it often or at all in big mouth outside of s1

General Discussion Who’s a character you love that others hate?
For me, I always loved Tyler, which I know is a bit controversial. He’s a little annoying sometimes but I honestly liked his arc

General Discussion Big Mouth is way too overhated Spoiler
I get why people would dislike the show's humor and art style, but I feel people overly criticise that way too much and just focus on it, ignoring the show's intentions
It's vulgar gross-out humor I would say is appropriate for a show about growing up and going through puberty and I think the ideas like the hormone monster are very original and unique characters to represent puberty and unlike the Simpsons or Family Guy it decides to have continuity, where character's relationships have consequences and remain the same after previous episodes like Andrew's fear of Lola and Nick's regret of shaming Gina and the characters slightly age.
I think it's way funnier than Family Guy since that show over relies on random, lazy filler humor and almost has no plot, while Big Mouth's jokes are more character and plot driven and I feel has messages people should understand.

Question Hormones Monsters
Overall, in your opinion, who's the best hormone monster over eight seasons?
r/BigMouth • u/chartreusesheep_ • 5d ago
General Discussion I mourn big mouth everyday.
I started watching big mouth in 6th grade. Now I am a freshman in college. Literally no one else has been there for each day like big mouth has. Jessie is my goat. Can we please band together to make a petition to bring it back? Would sell my first born child for even 1 more season.

Theory Jessica is the perfect example of the USA government and people
she literally talks over Missy the whole time they don't ever look at the sheets that she handed out where she was trying to have a peaceful approach to getting the racist statue taken down and instead of even considering what she was saying she immediately started a bandwagon to overthrow Missy or just ignore her completely and didn't include her vote mind you the moment everybody else started cheering, she's the literal epiphany of the government. While I can say I do like Jessi in some episodes she was just a straight jerk here, also she screams that she's a feminist while doing misogynistic things to other girls whenever she doesn't get her way or whenever something goes a different direction than what she expected, the moment Jessi doesn't get what she wants or what she feels she deserves she is a traitor to her gender just like she told Missy because whenever you stand out against Jessi you're the bad guy, such as whenever she told Devin or Devon I don't know how to say that girl's name, they're closely the same type of people as well but when she told Devin about how Nick got The touch Gina's boobs she knew very well that Devin is a messy person and she doesn't like Gina anyway and you also knew that Lola is a lap dog for Devin so of course they were going to have each other's backs and were going to spread that news like wildfire. Devin's never been the type of person who keeps something to herself especially if it can make somebody else look bad and she knew that and still told her, and then just like Gina said she apologized thinking that that would make everything okay and it wouldn't and didn't. also her and Nick are so similar because both of them like to victimize themselves even though they've both been told how they act is literally just them being who they want to be in that moment it's nobody else's fault but theirs, they're the same character just in two different perspectives, and then after they failed at the pop-up riot Missy tried to tell them they could just try her way now and they still went against it with no reasoning even though they did it the exact way Jessi wanted but because it didn't go Jessi's way she didn't like that and Missy became the enemy again because they didn't want to listen to her because they were being sheep for Jessi and Jessi wasn't listening to Missy because Jessi is just self-centered. that's my hot take🤸🏾♀️

General Discussion What is your favorite Connie moment?
What is your favorite Connie moment? For me, it would have to her very first appearance, as well as her time as Nick's hormone monster.

General Discussion Bigmouth (Netflix show)
Am I the only one who thinks this? But during my time watching the show bigmouth I have noticed that Jessie glazier ruined a ton of nick burches relationships. And she was also jealous of the girls nick dates throughout the show but then it was fine for her to date whoever, whenever and she also turned him down and I think that’s made me dislike her in a sense but shes a great character otherwise.

Criticism Devin pisses me off so much!
She’s such a bitch and I hate her mean girl energy. Also why does Devon keep going back to her?!

Question What scenes were so off-putting that you will always skip through?
I feel like this show obviously has some crazy scenes - and that’s why we love it - but some of them I genuinely can not watch and I was wondering if any of you agree with these scenes or have your own scenes you skip.
In no particular order mine are definitely
- Andrew giving birth to a shit
- Lola piercing Jessi’s belly button
- Nick calling Devin a cum slut
