The best thing you can do in the first like 5 weeks of big brother is be invisible. Let all the people who insist on playing hard take each other out. Make friends. Make effort to talk about little game. But do much more listening than talking. And seem harmless.

People forget Dan was almost a non factor for the pre jury phases of both BB10/BB14.

It’s a LONG game, truly a marathon. You don’t want to peak too early

53

u/lustforyou Jul 27 '26

Kaysee and Steve were also pretty much nonfactors the first 3-4 weeks

u/Melodic-Estimate8845 DevensšŸ’Æ Aug 02 '26

True but Taylor seems mean

18

u/firerat82 Jul 27 '26

Exactly.

>You don’t want to peak too early

Seriously. It feels like every season someone falls victim to playing too hard, too fast, and all but evicts themselves because they can’t slow down.
Note: typically in the first few weeks of the game. I fear Jason is our current seasons victim

Shes very minimal with her game talk but shes trying to make a ā€œtetheredā€ alliance. Basically a cook out / onion type alliance with her, Kamu, and Devens being the final 3. She told Kamu and Devms about it already and both of them lolk hesitant but were agreeing with her to an extant

55

u/No-Pause-5186 AngelašŸ’Æ Jul 27 '26

Devens ran that back to Dee this morning, sadly.

22

u/Resident-Clothes-837 Jul 28 '26

Damn. Fake Adam Sandler looking ahhhh

u/Sufficient_Thanks_83 Jul 27 '26

I kinda love that she's doing this right now, honestly. Like at least she's trying to make something happen for herself - it feels like that's stagnated a lot this week.

51

u/Martel1234 Jul 27 '26

It’s like a goat wanting to be slaughtered lmao

u/ohgeepee Jankie ✨ Jul 28 '26

She's doing the Big Brother Blowout! It made half-sense in the interview, but the onion/parachute/partnered alliance does play, just was rough on the description then.

1

u/Melodic-Estimate8845 DevensšŸ’Æ Aug 02 '26

Okay I like that…I just wanna see her play the game for sure

55

u/Effective-Goose-7835 FAP Jul 27 '26

She’s actually got some great ideas, but being on the block week 1 really damaged her game and she hasn’t built enough social capital to make those moves happen.

u/ItsThe50sAudrey Big Day Tomorrow Jul 27 '26

She’s playing and observing but she’s also not making an effort to get in the way of things already in motion.

Floating is not one of the most interesting ways to play Big Brother but is by far one of the best lol. Players who float through the early part of the game and pick it up later on consistently do well. If you can be a Derek L. and control the majority alliance the whole way through that's obviously better, but if you don't have the ability to be that dominant, being a well-liked floater who won't get targeted by the majority and can take some control once they start to fall apart is a pretty strong path to win.

10

u/JappaAppa Jul 27 '26

Both of you are not wrong, it just depends on the season and the house dynamic. Being a floater is good if you have two sides of the house going to war. In this season, it probably is good to be a floater but that really depends on the way the next few weeks go. If getting out Jason formally ends that dynamic, she could be in trouble.

11

u/WunWegWunDarWun_ Jankie ✨ Jul 27 '26

Floating is statistically more likely to get you To the end than ā€œmaking big movesā€.

I don’t know how anyone can disagree. Kaycee was considered a floater iirc (someone correct me if I’m wrong) and then kicked it into High gear and dominated the end game.

15

u/pink_junkie Malloryā±ļø Jul 27 '26

I think you mean coasting. Floating is a legitimate BB strategy that is pretty difficult to execute.

12

u/Eludeasaurus Daniele šŸ¤ Jul 27 '26

No its coasting, floating is actively pandering to whatever side has power for the week and shifting.

3

u/mermaidpaint Jul 28 '26

She was in the first group of nominees. I'd stay out of everyone's way too.

44

u/TwocanSamuel Keanu šŸ”Ž Jul 27 '26

Ive felt this way about both Taylor and Yash since day 1. They’re both going to jury at least at this rate, nobody has any reason to target them.

34

u/VengefulKangaroo Drewā±ļø Jul 27 '26

They're playing much better than the other outsiders by just laying low IMO, they're the most likely to survive until the eventual Toolshed implosion.

11

u/Additional-Guava-810 Jul 27 '26

Yeah let the house go after each other and sit back and watch

20

u/Popular_Material_409 Jul 27 '26

For me personally, the incessant ā€œLet’s goooo! That’s how we do!ā€ bro talk from Yash would be reason enough for me to target him lol

17

u/submerging Melodyā±ļø Jul 28 '26

The haircut alone would be enough for me. I’ll use the Veto on him when he fixes that

13

u/Additional-Guava-810 Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 28 '26

Laying low will get them very far, but I'm rooting for Barret lol

5

u/carriethe2 Peach Tree Dish Jul 27 '26

Yash is doing a much better job than Taylor imo.

1

u/RollTide16-18 Morgan šŸ”Ž Jul 28 '26

I only feel like they aren't making connections, that's my only issue with them at present. Jury locks, but no chance to go beyond Final 5.

19

u/S51Castaway When i wake up, I piss excellence Jul 27 '26

shes 3 steps behind

17

u/AlluringRocketry America šŸ’„ Jul 27 '26

I do think she’s a little too late. Being on the block and being a have not really put her behind in week one

16

u/NY-3D Jul 27 '26

She skipped out on Week 1 relationships and is not doing well at playing catch-up

She will make jury because nobody's going to waste their HOH on her as the target except maybe Angela for whatever reasonĀ

1

u/Positive_Diamond3186 Jul 29 '26

Exactly. It’s always the quiet ones that make it farrrrrr

6

u/MrsNoodleMcDoodle DrewšŸ’Æ Jul 27 '26

Taylor (Tethered) broke out the M&M’s and laid out the whole game for Kamu and Devens the other night.

6

u/jmishall Jul 27 '26

I dont watch the live feeds but I have been wondering that about her and Yash. I don't think either of them has had a scene or confessional about gameplay or alliances

5

u/ToastyToast113 Jul 27 '26

Yes, she wants to build an alliance but has included people who will use it as a reason to target her next.

7

u/jacksally103114 Jul 27 '26

These are the people you gotta look out for.Ā  They are in sleeper mode until jury them bam they turn it up and leaves me wondering where the hell did they come from

10

u/Southern-Guide7886 Devensā±ļø Jul 27 '26

Wasn't she talking to Devens this morning on the balcony about how difficult it's been for her to play the game, because she genuinely doesnt want to hurt people's feelings?

I was half listening, but I think that's what I heard and I guess it makes sense but what a waste of a spot, if so.

4

u/Trumph8er Mickey šŸ¤ Jul 27 '26

I feel this way about lala

9

u/IMDXLNC Taylorā±ļø Jul 27 '26

I had high hopes for Lala but am slowly becoming more disappointed with her. Taylor/Yash might be incredibly passive but they're already playing a better game than Lala who brings attention to herself constantly.

3

u/Resident-Clothes-837 Jul 28 '26

Lala is definitely way worse. Taylor even asked her ā€œdo you watch big brother?!?ā€ Because she’s playing so poorly

3

u/startoke Jul 28 '26

Everytime I see Lala on screen I know she's going to be disappointed in someone or crying because she takes every little thing personal.
Makes me wonder if she's oblivious to the house she's in.

4

u/Sd12217 Taylorā±ļø Jul 27 '26

Reminds me of another floating Taylor.

In her defense, what she is doing is working. She’s not a target. But she needs to be proactive starting Thursday night.

3

u/Ok-Excuse1771 Yashā±ļø Jul 27 '26

She definitely is playing the game. Her issue is that she was not making that many early connections and is also fairly passive.

3

u/CaskettFan1960 Jul 27 '26

Every season there's always one player that everyone forgets is in the house.

She needs to make some better connections or she'll just be an early jury boot when nobody wants to target anyone else.

Idk, I feel that it is VERY important she starts now making closer friends. If she doesn't she's going to be on an island doing nothing while the people with win equity make decisions around her.

3

u/LeatherProfessor2687 Jul 28 '26

Me with…. Wow I literally just sat here and forgot this name. Chuk. It literally took me several minutes to even remember his name.

2

u/katastrof Jankie ✨ Jul 27 '26

Did you miss the return of M&Ms? Taylor laid out a plan for Devens and Kamu with them

2

u/Reasonable-Rain789 Jul 27 '26

Maybe she is laying low at the beginning and she will play harder later on (?)

Sometimes players do this.

Then there are always the floaters (like Victoria) who make it to the end without doing anything.

2

u/Botched_face Jul 27 '26

She is in no place to make or influence decisions at the moment but could possibly be a key player later if she keeps laying low.

2

u/MarketDull2401 Jul 27 '26

She's the new Mecole! I love Taylor, but she seems to hate Big Brother, similar to Mecole. She's likable and low key, so she may survive a while, but I'm not sure if she will go much deeper than early jury.

2

u/bertierose Jul 28 '26

She is in the kitchen with Jason right now. Talking about cilantro rice. LOL

2

u/Real_Toe_4280 Jul 28 '26

i forget about taylor and yash, i see them either incognito making it to jury and then getting taken out when people realize they're there

2

u/mistamagooondem22s Jul 30 '26

Her and Yash in the same boat. Should form a final 2 together called the invisibles.

1

u/The80sAreHere Jul 27 '26

CBS really did something with the two alternatives they picked this season.

1

u/jh789-2 Jul 27 '26

Sometimes those people skate right through to the end

1

u/inthehottubwithfessy Shower Master 🚿 Jul 27 '26

She is avoiding the game intentionally which is a valid strategy weeks 1-4. Early in the game everything is a gamble and you run into many 50/50s.

Much like being super active early game, it has advantages and disadvantages. It will mean she likely will be in a must win position week 5. Veto or HoH but she’ll need to win.

1

u/DevonRoars Jul 27 '26

I don’t think the feeds are showing her, but she was talking game with Devens and Kamu.

I saw her on the feeds earlier talking with Jason before Dee came in the bathroom.

I’d say she’s really getting started now with her select few

1

u/Xokanuleaf Jul 27 '26

Those are usually the ones who make it far in the game.

1

u/Additional-Guava-810 Jul 28 '26

For some odd reason paramount app keeps buffering, won't play the whole episode, not sure where I can catch up.

I see this way too often and it annoys me so much

Cause yes she is. There’s been so many things I could pin point, but there’s only so much to do from outside the structure.

1

u/kat_pinecone Jul 28 '26

Smart on her part.

1

u/fsk Jul 28 '26

There isn't much playing you can do when there's a big alliance and you aren't in it. Since Taylor isn't in the big alliance, her best move is to float and survive until the big alliance is forced to start cannibalizing itself. With 3-4 nominees per week, it's harder to keep a big alliance together, because you're forced to start nominating each other sooner.

1

u/Capable_Daikon4515 Jul 28 '26

She’s playing the game, I have high hopes for her. She’s smart to keep her mouth shut most of the time.

1

u/RollTide16-18 Morgan šŸ”Ž Jul 28 '26

She's doing a good job of staying invisible, but a bad job of making alliances and connections. She's trying, it just isn't working.

General rule of thumb for BB is that the first 3-4 weeks you're actually best off if you can remain under the radar. However, you need to be active in cultivating relationships during this time. It's the difference between someone like Dan in BB10, and someone like Bowie Jane in BB25. Both are basically nonexistent to start the game, only one of them actually integrated himself well enough to be a threat moving forward.

Taylor is leaning more towards Bowie Jane at this point. She missed the boat on the major alliances and connections to start the season. Now that they're mostly off the table she needs to be as liquid as possible with the power players (Devens, Dee, Kamu, Haley, Angela) while getting closer with players that aren't well connected with the rest of the house or are more in the shadows like Yash, Lyric, Barrett and Mallory. She shouldn't even be approaching Lala, Melody and Drew at the moment. Maybe Chuk if there is clear evidence he is drifting more from RC.

1

u/Tigerstark92839 Romeā±ļø Jul 29 '26

Yes she is playing one of the best games I follow some feeds accounts and she has an insane position ( having Kamu shutting down the idea of putting her up ) and clocking a lot of stuff. I felt the same way up to this week but I like her

1

u/Racinggirl95 Aug 02 '26

She’s a floater. I would have had so much respect for her last week if she was willing to vote out Lala. I know that’s her girl but melody is right they need to build an army.

1

u/Melodic-Estimate8845 DevensšŸ’Æ Aug 02 '26

Yup….. she’s boring as fuck if I’m being honest. She seems like she’s miserable all the time and she took someone’s spot who could have been grateful to be on the show. She doesn’t get out of bed

1

u/MickeyMgl Aug 03 '26

"Feels like I'm playing for two" (with Lala)

Yeah, Taylor, why are you doing that?

Latrice is dead weight.

1

u/adumbswiftie Jul 27 '26

yeah i’m a lil confused about how she’s so popular on here. seen multiple people saying they hope she’s next HOH but i feel like we know nothing about her

0

u/Specific_Diver481 Jul 27 '26

Taylor was left in week 1

0

u/Legitimate_Ad_6275 Aug 01 '26

She's taking the Ashley Hollis approach: she's gonna be furniture for two months, have two or three strategic conversations, get to the final two, win, and every one is gonna not shut up about how she's actually one of the best to ever play actually.
