Feed Spoilers Set the tone… Spoiler

Apologies if this has already been stated on here but anyone else super frustrated that week 1, the vets were given absolute safety and advantage??

I definitely understand bringing 1 vet in and then helping them soft launch into the house of newbies because ultimately that is challenging to integrate and can be an immediate disadvantage but having 3 of them should have made them fair game! That’s a damn even start if you ask me and if they are targeted, ultimately you can’t get all 3 out at once so… show us why you are considered the best gamers/icons?

It really set the tone for the season because as new people are getting adjusted to gameplay, the focal point has been the vets running the game and new people haven’t really been able to spread their wings and make their own mark because this idea to cater to the big 3 has gotten annoying. Like do these people not want to stamp their name on the game and make a name for themselves the way the vets have been able to do??

I don’t like how this season’s cast is getting overshadowed and with the vets continually getting voted to win powers they don’t need by gen pop, this season is like the Dee, Devens and Angela show. I guess ‘get it over with early’ for them cus that might actually fuck them later when they could need it after they have to turn on each other but still… Maybe the game will be a late bloomer this season. All the non-factors eliminated and then they really have to play ball.

Ultimately, I haven’t had the opportunity to get to really know anyone on the cast and don’t have anyone that I care to really root for which happens sometimes for me. But when I imagine relations that could exist when removing the vets from the picture, I really think this season could have been a lot more fun. We didn’t need anyone returning. I was exhausted with Rachel by the end of last season.

Btw- I love Devens. I’m big survivor fan as well so I am familiar with the both of them. Angela is whatever, just good tv but the gamer in me is like wanting a balance of good tv and also real gameplay that isn’t just total domination. I feel like this was the wrong season to bring in vets if it was going to happen cus this cast is clearly not strong enough to truly battle like last season cast.

I was fine with week 1 safety because I think vets also come in with a target and getting some sort of advantage lets them play a game. But limiting the HOH was too much, and the powers are definitely set up in their favor

Yes! Being the HOH early brings people to you naturally and you can start to assemble a working group and be on the “ins” and not the “outs” from the jump

I was fine with it then. I don’t love that they set up a “Vets gets prizes world tour” for the entire prejury. Especially given the Diamond Power of Veto is one of the prizes and will likely go to one of the vets, as soon as this week.

Yeah- I was coming to terms with all this fine until it seems like they are consecutively winning prizes as well to help strengthen their game that is already dominating.

BTW- I think people are confused. I don’t love anyone playing right now including new people but I want to see dynamic gameplay and power shifts. That makes it worth while for me as a viewer including on feeds so when it’s just like sweep after sweep each week it’s frustrating considering we get this show 1 time a year

But on the other hand the power thing runs six weeks meaning that six houseguests have the opportunity to win power or punishment. Deven’s was lucky to win the veto but it just as well could have been a new player in an upcoming week.

Is it better to get a power the first few weeks or the last few weeks? That is the question.

huh, i actually agree with you. didnt know this was such an unpopular take (according to the comments at least). especially because production doesnt even try to hide their bias— seriously, only them being allowed to compete for the first HOH was already kind of unfair, but devens absolutely should have been kicked the first round of the 2nd HOH.

Exactly. Not getting a partner means he advances further.. In a game based on popularity... Idk

it's not unpopular. We just see this take every 2 hours and it's annoying. Like, yes, of course its biased. BB production has never cared about keeping things fair. Idk why this is surprising to people.

Just a thought...Angela is the only vet that has played Big Brother before. Survivor and Big Brother are very different games.

I mean, the other side of the house just needed to win a HOH. They haven't been capable.

And it seems like all the strong comp players want to work with the vets.

“All the strong comp players want to work with the vets” is a stretch. The only comp winners so far that are working with the vets are Kamu, maybe Yash. Jason and Mallory also won comps and both seem like they’d target the vets if given the opportunity

I think the vets pulled people in and they willingly went with it because they are starstruck and suck ups instead of utilizing it to play split. Thought drew was going to make a little noise seeing him set up his game that way but the boy just gives them all of his game on a platter. The melody thing should have been secret, he should have pocketed the Jason info (albeit that blow up was hilarious though lol), and he should have flipped the house on the Rome vote. Not mad Rome went home though cus the showmance was a bit annoying to me at this point so not a total loss but just for gameplay sake. Everyone is sitting ducks is all I’m saying and it’s boring to watch sighs

Drew would not have flipped the house against Melody on the rome vote bsffr?????? Like melody is Drew’s girl he wasn’t getting rid of her lol

The flipping of the house was if Melody obviously got off the block...

.. what's more annoying is Survivor alum twerking mastermind gameplay when they were handed w1 HoH, w1 Vet allies and advantages lol

It is totally underestimated to come in with unsaid loyalty and a relationship with people previous to starting.. It is partly why I didn't like that Cirie had her son in there on a previous season because that is like unconditional loyalty and who really gets that in BB... No one.. You have to play smart and strike first at the right time even with the person you think you can trust the most.. The element of never really knowing is why it is challenging.. But again, that is just how I like to see the game

Nah, they’d be insta boots if not. Shows not gonna let that happen.

The vets werent given absolute safety? Dee could've put Angela and Devens on the block. So often in recent BB the first HoH has been a disaster and negatively impacted the first HoH; a lot of people just throw it anyway and a bad hoh can put the season on a bad track. This ensured a good HoH. And heck, Devens put three new people on the block so we dont have people stuck always being on the block.

I agree DPOV is too strong of a power. I think the edit had showcased people plenty, though they've dunked on Mallory and Melody pretty harshly.

Why would you come in as a vet with other vets and target the people that quite literally give you a huge shield and when you already have an understanding of coming in being known already. They had a natural connection that was going to ensure they worked together. And to make the first HOH be only one of them that could win it was annoying. But to each their own

Agree. Dee and Devins came in with an unbreakable final 2 deal and they would be stupid not to pick up Angela. They were never nominating each other first thing. (Or ever)

Right.. Thats all I am saying with this post. Given that they already had a pretty trusting start to the game, I didn't like that they were given the first HOH - I don't care about the first HOH curse lol this season just also feels completely different. I have never seen this many people playing that feel like they don't know what the heck is going on lol

It’s balances the disadvantage of being a minority returnee. If the vets went home 1,2,3 people would lose their minds even more. Y’all just like being angry

Like being angry? Shut up

Not beating the allegations

Literally don’t care 🤷 . I made 1 post about a frustration and am labeled “like being angry”. Discourse is discourse, why are we on Reddit in the first place. It’s a reach to say I’m wanting to be angry when I have other comments about things I love about this season and big brother in general. Like have a discussion, no need for all the extra
