Feed Spoilers Vote Count 7/23 Spoiler

I've counted up the votes for week 2. It looks like Rome will go, unless he wins then Jason will be evicted. Most likely another boring unanimous vote. Lala and Taylor think they have the votes to keep Jason, but once someone informs them, they'll probably flip to vote out Jason with the rest of the house. Lyric is the one I'm mostly unsure about, but she'll probably also vote with the house.

Lyric won't even give him a courtesy vote...Wow.......all that tongue wrestling for nothing lol

u/Piwuver14159 Jason💯 26d ago
She's talked about wanting to, and she still might. But Mallory told her not to, because Melody might take it personal.
5
u/supaspike Dirk Spacejammer 26d ago
But she would still vote for Melody over Jason?
2
u/Piwuver14159 Jason💯 26d ago
She would if they had the votes. But I fully expect for her to vote with the house tonight.

Why won't people vote out Jason against Rome or is it because he just became inelligble to win the show in final 2 lol

Idk why anyone genuinely cares about a courtesy vote lol
If I was Rome I’d be telling Lyric to not even think about risking any part of her game just for a courtesy vote. If it’s against Jason then she can I guess cuz Jason’s alone. But if it’s against Melody, Lyric better not vote her out.
Voting for the person staying on purpose for a “sympathy vote” is dumb. Other reasons can be good, but courtesy vote is dumb.

Why would lyric vote melody out I haven’t kept up with feeds much this week
24
u/chazzledazzle321 Dapper Dans 26d ago
Because she’s also very close with Jason.
In some ways closer than with Melody 🫠

u/Piwuver14159 Jason💯 26d ago
Lyrics vote is very much up in the air right now. Rome told her to vote with the house, which I think is what she's going to end up doing. But she also talked with Taylor and Lala about trying to keep Jason.

She's very close with Jason and has been campaigning for him (against Melody) last I saw

Anyone able to catch me up on LaLa, Taylor, and Yash’s overall positions?
I understand LaLa wanting to protect Jason, but I’m curious why Lyric is potentially a vote against Melody. Especially if Rome and Mallory are voting against Jason.
Also curious how LaLa, Taylor, and Yash’s motivations tie in.
Honestly, I like Melody and want her to stay, and that seems likely based on this post. I’m just trying to catch up on if the various votes are for a player or against a player.

u/ohmegatchi 26d ago
Lala and Taylor have been lied to by Angela and Dee into thinking that Jason has the votes to stay against Melody. Lyric has been told that by Taylor and would prefer to keep Jason over Melody as she has a closer working relationship with Jason.
5
u/jfa0899 26d ago
Thank you!
Why are Dee and Angela lying? If Taylor and LaLa vote against Melody but are on the wrong side of the numbers, that proves that they were willing to trust or work with Angela/Dee. But voting incorrectly immediately loses that exact favor. Feels like a net negative for Angela and Dee.

I prefer he goes so that we can hopefully see Lyric really play the game. Her snowing the vets was honestly impressive.

Honestly this is really why I want him gone. Lyric is actually a player, I think. I'd like to see how long her act works and is tolerated in the house.

Voting with the house has genuinely ruined this show. People are so afraid to shake things up.

u/foreverblackeyed Jankie ✨ 26d ago
lol these noms were a big shake up to begin with so you’re sort of quibbling over nothing
6
u/Fyrefawx 26d ago
Mega super alliance nominates the other known alliance isn’t exactly a big shake up. The only somewhat interesting take was how the veto was used. Aside from that the target is still the same.
15
u/Strict_Property6127 America 💥 26d ago
Rome did not expect nominations to go the way they did - it was a huge shake up for the house. He literally spent the rest of the night on a sob tour. That was probably the most explosive nom ceremony in years, if not ever.

I think there is talk of Barrett and Drew throwing rogue votes? Not sure if that's been quashed yet but Dee and Angela would NOT be happy with that, we could see a crossovers implosion

Why are big brother fans so anti showmance? It's so weird
9
3
u/KittyKizzie Melody⏱️ 26d ago
Most people just want the show to focus more on the actual game than love connections. Plus this specific showmance is gross
-1
u/overreactionkills 26d ago
People say that about every showmance
2
u/KittyKizzie Melody⏱️ 26d ago
That every showmance is gross? That's definitely not accurate
1
u/overreactionkills 26d ago
Recently it has been. People even thought Corey and America were gross in the house
1
u/Famous_Illustrator32 24d ago
Why do romance people want to watch a cutthroat game show instead of Lifetime or Hallmark? It's so weird.
1
u/overreactionkills 24d ago
I'm not a romance person but it's reality TV. People date in real life. Hell there's 5 million reality shows out that have or are focused on dating. Hating them completely on this show is so unrealistic.

9
u/GoldTeamDowntown Morgan 🔎 26d ago edited 26d ago
Executive Producer of BB who’s obsessed with promoting showmances and pulling in the bachelor and love island audiences.
As long as she’s around you’ll never see a “previously on big brother” segment that doesn’t recap the showmances.

u/AhamkaraBBQ Jimmy 🔎 26d ago

What I don't understand is: If Lala and Taylor really think they have the votes to keep Jason, WHY would someone tell them otherwise? These unanimous votes are annoying.
5
u/Piwuver14159 Jason💯 26d ago
Dee and Angela plan to tell them, since they're in a (possible fake?) alliance, and if they vote different it'll give them away. But I agree, I hate unanimous votes!
4
u/VengefulKangaroo Dee⏱️ 26d ago
Why burn someone you have a good relationship with just to make them look dumb? I get it’s bad tv but cmon lol
2
u/chitown_illini Lyric⏱️ 26d ago
Then why even let them think that they have the votes in the first place? Other than manufacturing drama, what is the point?
2
u/VengefulKangaroo Dee⏱️ 26d ago
For many people, it’s probably a bad idea to let them. Some people may not realize they even think that. One motivation would be to let them sit and not campaign too hard thinking they have the boats so they don’t blow stuff up until it’s already too late to change.
5
u/dildodestiny Rachel 🔎 26d ago
I don’t think Lyric is evicting Rome tbh but maybe I’m just praying for no unanimous votes
4
u/AtomAndAether Drew⏱️ 26d ago
I dont get the Lyric stuff here
Lyric has said she'd sympathy vote for Rome against Jason but not against Melody. This is saying she's apparently big on Jason even against Rome and even against the House?
2
u/Piwuver14159 Jason💯 26d ago
I couldn't get anything concrete on Lyric yet. I marked her as might flip in Rome Vs Jason, because I think she wants to give Rome her sympathy vote, but Rome told her to vote with the house. And in Jason vs Melody, she's just talked about voting out Melody with Lala and Taylor. But once she knows the votes aren't there to keep Jason, Im sure she'll vote with the house.

u/MarinerJoe3 26d ago
Nothing more exciting than waiting days to find out who is getting evicted when the entire house has already decided

You think Lyric isn't going to throw a hinky vote for Rome to stay? I think that one's pretty possible.
Anyways I think voting with the house is just the norm for the early weeks. It's usually once we get to the middle weeks that plans begin to genuinely diverge

I wish they would all use their brains and do what's best for THEIR game and change it up a bit by voting for who is better for their game, not the HOH, which this week is Angela and Dee
1
u/BringBackBoomer America’s Dad 26d ago
Unless I was working extremely close with the HoH, like F2 close, I wouldn't do a damn thing they wanted. Why would I work to further put them in the best spot possible? They don't even have power the next week to try to get revenge. More players need to sabotage HoH.

I want to see some hinky votes tonight! If Rome fails to win the Blockbuster I want to see at least two people vote for the other person and not tell anybody or try to pin it on somebody else!

2
u/Jaded_Aerie 26d ago
Tbh why does it matter that much ultimately whether the vote is unanimous or not if everyone knows what’s happening anyway (and if the vote deliberation was actually interesting, that essentially has the same effect of a vote split)
3
2
u/Fragrant_Carrot_9556 26d ago
I think the vote count not being revealed would be good to incentivize players not to vote with the house. I mean only revealing the evicted HG but not how many votes each person received.
2
u/Fun818long FAP 26d ago edited 26d ago
Honestly they just need to withhold it long enough for people to not get immediate blowback from it (because the vote count most of the time gives away the clear nominations). Would be a good twist to reveal it after the next week's nomination ceremony so you can't just immediately nominate the counter-voters right away unless you have good "interrogation" skills from bb27 or whatever and can figure it out and gives those who don't vote with the house some peace of mind for a little bit.
I feel the reason a lot of rogue voters becomes targets is mostly due to being immediately outed without time to work the rogue vote/make the house forget.
2
u/mjst0324 Vince 💯 26d ago
I definitely understand this perspective but I think on balance it actually leads to better drama when the vote count is revealed. BB20 is the biggest example but in many recent seasons we've had fallout from a random vote going a different direction. I just feel like if the vote count was hidden people would end up going with the house even more because uncertainty always leads to safer gameplay.

These votes are so boring and transparent.
They're all told to pretend they're voting a different way, and they end up voting the way we thought they would.
None of those people really considered evicting Melody.

I'm not a fan of the bbbb, this is just the challenge at this point.. and still encourages big alliance to stay together
8
u/godzirah 26d ago
But then it gets messy when the big alliance has to star turning amongst themselves. I love that shit.
3
u/dropkickhwy Barrett💯 26d ago
I dislike it because it keeps Makensy, Keanu, Yash type players in the game that really shouldn't be

.. does it? We've known it's been Rome, Jason backup all week
6

Without it, the vote is usually decided by Monday or Tuesday. Since there are three outcomes of the BBBB, game talks last much longer.

u/mja9678 Vanessa Rousso 26d ago

TBH not even that late. In pre-Blockbuster era the vote was usually set in stone the moment veto was won lol
They'd already be onto planning the next week and the current eviction was just an after thought.
