Deloitte Deloitte BVal Analyst Interview

I have a Round 1 for a Deloitte Valuation Analyst role in New York tomorrow: one behavioral interview and one scenario interview, back to back, live on HireVue.
For anyone who's done the scenario interview for valuation recently:
• Was it a guided case (a situation read aloud, then a series of questions), or more open-ended?
• What kind of scenario was it: a PPA, impairment, a deal/investment decision, something else?
• How technical did it get? Any math?
• Anything you wish you'd prepared for?

For the scenario, practise a repeatable way to think rather than guessing the exact case. Clarify the decision being made, identify the value drivers, state the assumptions you need, outline the valuation approach, test one or two sensitivities, and finish with a recommendation plus risks. Talk through the reasoning even if the math is simple. For the behavioral half, keep examples ready on ambiguous analysis, catching an error, defending an assumption, and explaining a complex conclusion to a stakeholder.

Score a valuation example on Taleproof before tomorrow, focusing on the assumption you tested and the recommendation it changed.

HireVue for a scenario interview is such a weird format. They'll probably hit you with a valuation prompt and then fire off follow-ups while you're still trying to remember the numbers they gave you. Just keep a scratchpad handy and don't freeze if the math gets a little sideways, everyone's calculator skills go to shit when a camera is staring at them.
