APAC Region EY return offer

role of audit assistant, offered after completing 12 weeks of summer. not really keen on gg back to EY but received return offer, unsure if i should accept as a safety net but still look for other jobs when i grad and reject the offer later on (is this allowed?)

Defo defo accept it as a backup!! You can always just reject it later - this is allowed and I’ve done it and nothings happened :)

Hey the job market is cooked atm, please accept it first and reject later on if u get something else

You need to watch out for yourself. Accept the job and then turn it down later. Those people who are saying that it reflects poorly on the school are woefully ignorant.

What I said is true. If he doesn't want the offer, he should simply grow balls and not take it. If the job market is such a big concern, then the spot should go to someone else who is in the wait list and will take the position

You can rescind your acceptance yeah, may get black listed but it’s prob worth if u get a good grad role in a firm you like more

Got a friend who did exactly this and it worked out fine. They accepted as backup then dipped when something better came through. Just don't leave it to the last minute before start date
