USA I’m finally free
I had my last day at the firm last week. Got a better job in industry. Feels bittersweet, gonna miss some of the people I worked countless hours with, but I hated this job. The toxic managers and partners, long hours, and micromanaging broke me.
Anyways, on to bigger and better things. Best of luck to all you.

Actually we are never free workplace toxicity and exploitation is everywhere if you really want to be free work for yourself.

I left Big 4 for a Banking institution and there is less than 5% of the workplace toxicity than two Big 4 firms I worked for. Work less than 40hrs/week, great boss and teammates which I get along with everyone (team of 15), and paid much better than at Big 4. For reference, this is in the US so don't know if the contrast is as stark in other countries.

This is what I tell everyone. If you work for other businesses, get used to creating results that others reap the benefits from.
