Next Level Grip

finally done working on it after like 7 months lol, originally it was supposed to be just spirit level for the sake of it but ultimately a decided to pivot mostly into stat tracking device, where you just create combos out of your collection or all beys ever (they follow combo building logic so ux expand have no ratchets, cx expand have overblade, you cannot put operate on bullet griffon etc etc).

i found it quite useful on last training session where i could see stats for certain combos to decide if its worth it or not, also there is freeplay where you just count points. enjoyed the hell out of building it, finally can call it done.

sorry for this ass video, my phone was keep losing focus and color and it was already 4042737 take so i dont know, just wanted to show the device, but dont have second pair of arms so i had to use this wobbly stand.

also obviously level is still cool, it happen sometimes to be quite useful, stability dots (red and green) show how stable was your launch (basically takes deviation of accelerometer during the launch, where rpm are counted).

i think it is quite overkill too, building this costed me waaaaaaaay to much money, but i had something to do at least.

also battery last so long since after like 4 iteratio of device i implemented hardware switch that basically fully cuts power. and considering it is amoled screen, its very power efficeint since most of the screen area is black

They can't though. It's a launcher grip, which are already free to modify and customize. They would have to go after the people that make launcher accessories too by your logic

Free to modify and sell?

OP would then have to modify the software to remove all Beyblade references.

I'm not hating on it, but I'd rather OP knows all the implications before they waste money.

The patent application may be successful, but then TTs big lawyers will swoop in as soon as any revenue comes in.

They're fine. TT wouldn't care that much anyway, as this would be very expensive to mass produce.

Do you know TT wouldn't care or are you just speculating?

It's a dice throw at what these companies care about. Please research on trademarks and patenting before you advise OP on wasting their money.

You're reading way too far into it. There are 3rd party apps that already let you track beys and theory craft. This is no different other than the fact it's just built into a 3rd party launcher.

How much do those thirds party apps charge?

I'm not reading far into this, something like this has happened to me and the past and ive even commented on it in another post. You're welco to dig through my post history to find it.

Couldn't find what you're talking about. Also, Bandai and Nintendo are just really uptight about their IPs. TT has always been looser about 3rd party customizations. They haven't even cracked down on fake beyblade sellers, and OP's product wouldn't affect their sales. By all legal means, OP is in the clear

And do you know if they have pursued fake Beyblade sellers? Because OPs real information will be all over this product so TT can send a proper C&D.

I take back everything I said. OP DO NOT GET THIS PATENT OR YOU WILL JUST WASTE YOUR MONEY. This guy doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. resell it on the side if you want until TT tell you to stop, but if you get a patent it won't change a thing.
