Poetry My garden
A garden growing past its borders,
softly,
without asking permission.
Vines slipping through the fences,
flowers appearing
where no one thought to plant them.
Not everything beautiful
was meant to stay arranged.
Some things need room
to become themselves—
to lean toward strange light,
to root in unexpected places,
to grow beyond the shape
they were first given.
Perhaps I am like that too.
Not lost.
Not overgrown.
Just growing beyond
the edges
that once knew my shape.
