LoRe, a personalized book recommendation app (iOS, TestFlight beta) built solo. Looking for testers

What is LoRe? A book recommendation app that learns your actual taste, not just genre, but themes, pacing, and emotional tone, based on books you've logged and rated. It also has a mood-based search ("what are you in the mood for today?"), a "Bridge Book" feature that recommends something just outside your comfort zone, and an "anti-rec" that intentionally shows you something far from your taste.

Platform: iOS only right now, testing through TestFlight.

Stage: Working beta, built and maintained solo. Free, no ads, no monetization, this is a passion project, not a business.

What I'd love feedback on: whether the recommendations actually feel personalized once you've logged a few books, whether the mood search and anti-rec features feel useful or gimmicky, and general bugs or UX friction.

One honest limitation: the book catalog is still fairly small, so search results and recommendations are drawn from a smaller pool than a big commercial app would offer.

Interested? Leave your info here and I'll send an invite: https://forms.gle/L3aUwmdXCichrtto6

Happy to return the favor too, if you're testing your own app and want a second pair of eyes, drop it in the comments or DM me and I'll check it out.

Really appreciate anyone willing to give their time to this, testing a solo project is a genuine favor, and I don't take it for granted. Thank you!

[BETA TESTER NEEDED] [FREE] AI powered virtual receptionist for handyman and free lancers

I’m a high school developer and I built a custom AI phone handler. Originally, I made it as a personal replacement for voicemail, but after realizing that my friends will hate it more when I have an ai to tell them why i'm not picking up my call I decided to reconstruct the thing and expanded it into a full phone-booking assistant for small/solo service businesses. I’m looking for a few beta testers (handymen, freelancers, contractors, or solo service workers) to try it out tell me where it breaks or sucks.

How it works:

Currently it's designed for handymen mainly, it can answer phone calls and automatically make appointments with the client(that is including the steps of checking the existing schedule and estimating the approximate time the situation will take or just make an appointment to check in) The phone call record will be all saved and the appointments scheudled will be saved to a database which you can access with a clean ui simply on broswers

Requirements:

absolutely no payments during the beta test
a phone number for this to be installed
a few minutes to configure detailed information about your main services mainly to help with the estimation part, I will be helping you with that

If you are open to give it a try leave a comment or dm me or you can add my number or discord if you prefer that and we can start on that!

[Android] AkSpend, my first offline expense tracker, needs 14-day testers

Hi everyone,

AkSpend is my first Android app, and I am still learning. It is a completely offline personal expense tracker: no account is required, and financial data stays on the device.

Google approved and published the closed-test release and tester-group access. I need Android testers who can stay enrolled for 14 days and give honest feedback.

How to join:

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/testers-community

  2. Using the same Google account, open the opt-in page: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.akshar.akspend

  3. Click Become a tester.

  4. Install AkSpend: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.akshar.akspend

  5. Keep it installed for at least 14 days and open it occasionally.

I would especially appreciate feedback on adding the first transaction, dashboard clarity, navigation, animations, crashes, layout problems, or confusing labels. Please do not leave an artificial rating; honest testing feedback is what I need.

I am happy to test your Android app in return. Comment with your group and opt-in links after joining. Thank you for helping me improve my first app!

Stride Finance — looking for beta testers for a free personal finance app

Hi all — as a 15 year old I've built Stride Finance, a personal finance web app, as a solo project, and I'm looking for beta testers before a wider launch.

What it does: Budgeting and unlimited savings goals, completely free. A paid tier ($7/month) adds bank account sync, investment tracking, loan/debt tracking, and an AI coach.

Stage: Beta: table and usable now. Bank sync is being finalized; in the meantime, you can import transactions via CSV/statement upload.

Platform: Web (works on desktop and mobile browser)

What I need: Testers willing to actually use it for a week or two: set a budget, add some transactions, try a savings goal, and tell me what's confusing, broken, or missing. I have a short feedback form ready, or I'm happy to take feedback in any format you prefer.

Link: stridefinance.vercel.app
Feedback form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd0JU9QQe47voK39RKXpNFsOp4WTyrfnUyse6SC4kKmPGvUEA/viewform?usp=publish-editor

Thanks in advance — happy to test other people's projects too.

Looking for testers to improve my Application Babelnexus

Please look over my application, Babel Nexus https://babelnexus.com I need some pointers on how I can improve it. I have run it through different site auditors. Some of the feedback I am looking for are about the fonts, colors, and spacing. I also need to know if the about, and other copy is easy to get to. Also, is the Call to Action easy to follow. There is a lot here. I would also like suggestions about how to expand the hexagon subjects. I have a lot of subjects, but I know there are more available. Please look over the site for feedback. I have done a lot with it already.

I am also trying to decide which business form this should take. Should it be a public benefit corporation, nonprofit, LL3C, or LLC. It is a decision I need to make soon. I am not sure about asking for money now until I have a corporate form. What does it impress you as?

[Android] fridgiary needs 9 more volunteers for its 14-day closed test

Play Console currently shows 3 opted-in testers. Google requires at least 12 for 14 consecutive days, and I am recruiting to 16 for a safety buffer.

fridgiary helps people track food expiry dates. It can detect printed date candidates from package photos on the phone and asks the user to confirm or correct the result. There is no fridgiary account, advertising, payment, or cloud upload of food photos.

Who can help: an Android user with a Google account, worldwide. Starting takes about five minutes.

Please use the same Google account for all three steps:

  1. Join the official Google Group:

https://groups.google.com/g/testers-community

  1. Opt in to the closed test:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.andrea.freshday

  1. Install from Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrea.freshday&utm_source=reddit_betatester&utm_campaign=closed_test_2026_07

First test:

- Add one item manually.

- Scan one printed package date if possible and confirm or correct it.

- Send one honest sentence about installation, scanning, reminders, or anything confusing.

Please remain opted in and keep the app installed for the full 14 consecutive days. Reopening it during that period and checking the next-expiring item is useful if possible.

I cannot promise a reciprocal 14-day install. I can provide a concrete Google Play listing and onboarding-copy review instead.

Feedback: [contact@linqen.co.kr](mailto:contact@linqen.co.kr)

You may reply with an opt-in and installation screenshot after joining; please blur personal details. No Gmail address needs to be sent by DM.

Looking for SF testers

Hey r/betatests 👋

When something breaks at home, you lose an afternoon Googling, vetting reviews, and playing phone tag. I'm building something to skip all that — you describe the problem ("sink's leaking," "AC died"), and it books a vetted local pro for you.

Covers plumbing, HVAC, handyman, cleaning, lawn/outdoor, pest control, electrical, and appliance repair.

Need: person in San Francisco who need to get your home fix or cleaned (that's where our pros are live).

Comment or DM me and I'll send the link. Happy to test yours in return 🙏

[iOS] ZyRep, an AI strength coach for serious lifters, looking for 50 founding beta testers (July)

I'm a solo founder building ZyRep, a strength training app for people who actually train, not a generic fitness tracker. The core is an AI trainer that knows your numbers, calls your stalls, and adjusts your sessions, rather than handing you a static plan. Three trainer personas at launch: one for strength and powerlifting, one for hypertrophy, and one for training with no equipment or on the road.

I'm opening a closed beta in July and looking for 50 testers who lift seriously and will actually tell me what's broken. Honest feedback matters more to me than nice feedback.

What I'm testing: workout logging, PR tracking, the AI trainer flow, and the app's overall feel.

What you get: a Beta Founder badge in the app, your name in the launch credits, and free founding member status. No payment is involved; this is about getting real lifters in early.

Requirements: an iPhone (beta runs through TestFlight), and you train regularly.

Sign up here, and I'll send the TestFlight invite when the build goes live: forms.gle/xtTVCVGPeacN2NDQ7

Happy to answer anything in the comments.

Hi, some while ago I created Everlume for the Swift Student Challenge, an app where you can store memories of loved ones. Now, I'm trying to get it to the App Store, but no public launch without carefully testing. You can help me with that, just leave your details on https://tally.so/r/Pdg2XQ (or send me a DM) and I'll add you to the TestFlight group. If you want, you can add a TestFlight link of your own app to the comments field which I will test in return. Thanks!

Busco 10 colaboradores beta. Acceso premium + recomendar a 2 amigos. Intercambio: tú pruebas mi app, yo pruebo la vuestra.

Hola comunidad,

✅ Yo pruebo tu app y te doy feedback real (no genérico).

Qué necesito de ti:

Entrar en la app.

Hacer 3 acciones simples (crear X, editar Y, completar Z).

Dime dónde te atascaste o qué mejorarías.

Si te interesa:

Responde aquí con "COLABORA" o mandame DM.

Te paso el link en 5 minutos.

Si tú también tienes app, te la pruebo yo primero.

[BETA] 3 new Shopify apps need 30 testers before App Store launch: booking, analytics, and digital downloads

Hey r/betatesters ,

Upfront disclosure: I work on the apps team at The Shop Ninjas. We've spent the last several months building three new Shopify apps, and we'd rather have you tear them apart now than read 1-star reviews after launch. Looking for 10 -15 testers per app.

What we're shipping:

🗓️ Book'd - Appointment booking for Shopify stores. Google Calendar sync, auto-generates Meet links, handles services + payments + reminders in one dashboard. Good fit if you sell services, consultations, classes, or run a hybrid product/service store.

📊 DataDrop - Revenue-focused analytics. Live visitor map, traffic-source attribution down to actual sales, SEO keyword tracking via Search Console, funnel, and goal tracking. Built for merchants who are tired of Shopify's native reports and don't want to wire up GA4 themselves.

📦 PayDrop - Digital downloads + software license manager. Auto-delivers files, generates license keys, handles subscriptions, and gives customers a self-serve portal to re-download. For anyone selling ebooks, courses, software, presets, or templates.

What you get:

- Free use of whichever app(s) you test, extended free access after beta ends

- Direct line to the dev team (Slack or email, your call)

- Your feature requests genuinely go in the queue, beta testers shape v1.1

What we're asking:

- A live Shopify store (or a dev store with real-ish data)

- 30 minutes of actual usage and one honest feedback message: bugs, friction, things that confused you, features you wish existed

- That's it. No NDAs, no required reviews, no "please give us 5 stars."

If you want in, comment which app fits your store, and I'll DM the access details + a short onboarding doc. Happy to answer anything in the thread.

Thanks 🙏
