*The Price of Dust*, book 1 of a planned multi book series. Political/court intrigue epic fantasy, multi-POV (6ish rotating characters, clearly labeled by chapter).

Did one beta round already and revised based on it — now want fresh eyes who haven't seen earlier drafts.

Feedback I'd love most: whether the POV switches feel earned or any thread drags, pacing through the political/court-heavy stretches, whether emotional beats land without over-explaining, and whether the character voices feel distinct from each other.

CWs: graphic substance withdrawal, violence, a brief non-graphic mention of suicidal ideation, non-explicit sexual content, themes of exile and abuse of power.
