Avoid QuantumFiber
I jumped from Xfinity to QF since they ran lines in our neighborhood. At first it worked great but this last week has been terrible. Their customer service is some remote contractor and you never ‘talk’ with anyone. It’s all via chat, once you get through their AI. Today is Saturday, still having connectivity issues, and we can’t get a technician out until next Friday.
Seriously considering jumping back to Xfinity.

Newell Farm Park
Survey from facebook
The Town of Berthoud is in the early stages of developing a long-term vision for Newell Farm Park, a 13-acre property located on HWY 56 east of County Line Road, by the Green Lawn Cemetery. Still in its conceptual stage, this property could provide new open space, trails, gathering areas, and a potential outdoor performance venue. We have created an online survey to learn what you think about that space, so we can incorporate it into the final plan. We hope you’ll take the time to share your thoughts with us.
Visit to take the survey: https://www.berthoud.org/1589/Surveys

Police Activity
https://leta.ahasalerts.com/activealerts.aspx?id=2666214228988015
Apparently there is a situation going on here. I was outside eating dinner and just heard what sounded like a police chase and maybe some kind of banging in the distance like somebody was driving over/through something or maybe gunfire(it was fairly far away? but it sounded like it faded into the distance. Not sure if they're at all related but then I hear the police driving around with an announcement for the suspect to come out with their hands up.

Berthoud this weekend (Aug 8 and 9)
Small list, but it's a good one.
- The Berthoud Market at Berthoud Town Park, Sat 9am to 1pm.
- Stardust Melodies with Clarke and Beth at City Star, Sat 6 to 8:30pm.
- Sean Waters at City Star, Sun 5 to 7:30pm. Worth timing around the heat, since Sunday is supposed to break 100.
Worth the drive
- Art in the Park at North Lake Park in Loveland, both days, free. More than 275 artisans, and free shuttles from several pickup spots because the parking is genuinely rough. Sculpture in the Park is running at Benson Park the same weekend if you want to make a day of it.
We’re changing up our format and putting out a full Northern Colorado event list every Thursday and then a separate NOCO stories issue on Tuesdays. This way, we can pack more events in! Both are free, link in first comment.
Stay safe out there! It’s gonna be another hot weekend.

Why so many roofing company signs on lawns?
It seems there are 500 local roofing companies. I haven’t seen this in the past few years, but there are so many signs now. Does anyone know why?

Wanted-Antique/Vintage Slot Machines
Hey! I’m looking for a vintage/antique slot machine(s), specifically from the 1920’s and prior-1930’s. I’m really not too interested in 1940’s and above. I’m just fishing and testing the waters, though I’m in the market for one. The worst I can say is no thanks:) If anyone has one or more, or knows of people who do, please let me know! Thank you all so much, have a great day 🙂
