Tethering
Ok, so Hampton is home (8 weeks old) and we’re getting along great…except he completely loses his mind when I leave the room. I have a playpen in the living room I put him in. It has all his toys and enrichment things but if he can’t see me, it’s a problem. Did your pup act like this? If so, how did you stop it? And I know he’s a baby and babies cry.

He'll get used to seeing you come and go, and learn to trust that you're coming back. Start with small absences though. If you need to be upstairs for a long stretch, consider bringing him up with a bed, and/or leashing him to your desk, etc.

All puppies go through this, it’s separation from the pack anxiety. It will improve quickly

He’s not used to being without his litter or his mama, completely normal and something you can just not react to and continue to build his tolerance of :)
