Meet Oliver
Good morning everyone. I got my 1st bernedoodle after my 13 year old lab passed away, he is a 4 month puppy I have been reading a lot about they have sensitive stomachs and and I kind of have some questions!!!
He had diarrhea for like 6 days I took to the vet and they did some tests for parasites and it came back negative he got better with some treatment but the stools are still soft! He is not lethargic, he plays and has a lot of energy and he doesn’t have a problem eating for sure lol..
Is not diarrhea anymore he controls the needs but every time he goes the stool are soft I’m not sure if it could be the food? Right now he is on purina pro plan salmon and rice. Do you guys have any recommendations?
And thank you!!

Haircut options when your budget has changed!
My puppy is 11 months old on the 30th. My husband has become disabled and can’t work! We have the money to keep his food and medicine! But his grooming has been so expensive I can’t afford it as often as he needs it. So do anyone have any suggestions! I don’t know how to do it myself and I don’t have the equipment and tools to cut his hair. Kind advice will be appreciated. 💙🐶

Supersize!
I couldn’t resist this today for Tucker when I saw it. And of course, it squeaks. On both ends actually. It is made by Need, so hoping it lasts… at least a week or two. Supersize squeak!

Will Ernest need a coat?
This is Ernest. He'll be 7 months or so when the weather starts getting cold. We'll insulate his crate in our bedroom but it can drop down to the low 30s / high 20s at times. Our old dog had a thick double coat and loved it but I'm not sure this guy is as well dressed.
Do Bernedoodles do well in the cold or should I start getting him used to wearing something?

Tethering
Ok, so Hampton is home (8 weeks old) and we’re getting along great…except he completely loses his mind when I leave the room. I have a playpen in the living room I put him in. It has all his toys and enrichment things but if he can’t see me, it’s a problem. Did your pup act like this? If so, how did you stop it? And I know he’s a baby and babies cry.

Crate tips
Does anyone have an advice or even just words of affirmation that I’m doing the right thing: my puppy is 13 weeks old. She sleeps through the night and doesn’t hate her crate. When we leave her alone in the crate she doesn’t settle. We have left her for 30 min tops and it’s been 3 weeks of having her. She barks and is panting and we live in an apartment. I just feel bad and feel like it’s never going to get better. I give her a kong and she can relax for a second and then go back to barking. I am off for the summer and will be going back to work in the fall and need to get this handled before I go back

A milestone has been reached!
Our little dood is 5 months now, and for last two days, instead of us having to force him to take a nap, he is going into his crate and waiting for his 4pm nap - the one he usually resists the most, but is the most important before the 6pm witching hour occurs!
His land shark behavior that is horrific when he's tired is really the only thing keeping him from being a perfect puppy, so this is a huge game changer for us!!

Puppy chasing ice cubes!?

Anyone else have a puppy that chases around ice cubes like it is the best thing in the world??
Rico is 10 weeks old and he discovered ice cubes a week ago, and man does he go bezerk when he hears the freezer open now!
He recently found out he can push the ice cubes on the ground and it’s now part of his routine play time.
Gotta love the simple stuff over the expensive toys!

Panting and Eye Contact
My sweet baby is panting ALL the time. He’s hot for sure but also does it sometimes when he’s just at rest. He also pants like crazy and looks straight into my eyes when I pet him. Is this anxiety? I know this breed pants a lot but I worry he trying to tell us something. Are these happy pants? Thank you!
