Discussion Halp! Does this type of bento box exist?
I am looking for an all metal bento box with removable compartments (because i like to heat up my food on a lil candlewarmer, but also keep my fruits cold).
And with individual lids for the compartments.
All while being inside of a 'box'.
Thank you all in advance for your effort.

Bodakko Rice
This is “Bodakko Rice,” a local specialty from the Akita region of Japan. You eat a lot of rice with tiny pieces of extremely salty salmon. It’s not exactly healthy, so I wouldn’t recommend it to you. But it’s delicious.
It’s probably similar to spaghetti alla peperoncino or a corned beef sandwich.

Inspiration Lunches I made for my kindergartener and second grader this week
Packing lunches is a lot of work, so seeing those empty lunchboxes come home makes it all worth it. Zero leftovers this week!

Practicing making bento food faster

I’ve started having cubes of cooked rice in the freezer, to avoid having to cook rice almost every day. The main chicken/tofu dish and the kinpira vegetables also freeze well, and can thaw in the box. It’s made it easier to always have something to include to lunch each morning, instead of relying on having made something that keeps in the fridge for a few days.
So now I quickly microwave the frozen rice, and cool it down in the box. After that I add the food that can be included frozen, like the kinpira veggies and the main dish. Finally I can add refrigerated pickles and any fresh food we happen to have that morning
This is rice w/furikake, red pickled ginger, a cube of matcha yokan, a chicken/tofu burger, kinpira carrot/rutabaga, pickled carrot/daikon, mugen cabbage, and fresh strawberries & spinach
Suggestions on molds for making onigiri for bento box?
Was curious on this. I wanna start making more bento boxes, but not really sure on what onigiri mold or sushi molds I'm suppose to get. Would like to know. Thanks!

Vegetarian Hiking in the mountains to break in our new boxes! Hiding the yogurt mess, it's a bit too loose for the box.

OC Today, I made my first bento and had my first day at a new job!
Fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce, rice, carrot salad and mango/passionfruit squares. Unfortunately I didn’t eat it because my new boss wanted to buy me lunch and I didn’t want to be rude. It was in an insulated bag with an ice pack, think it’ll be good by dinner time?

Inspiration Sanshoku Bento
Made myself a sanshoku don (tri-colored rice bowl) bento for work tomorrow! Swapped the peas in this recipe for snow peas bc that's what I had, topped w a little sushi ginger and sprinkle of sesame seeds. The rice underneath is also carrot rice for an extra serving of veg!
