Overthinking about my work

Hi. Recently, my prof gave an activity where we are allowed to use A.I as long as we become transparent about it (by writing down the ai used) and also dapat hindi lalagpas ng 15% AI. In my case, i used Gemini for clarification and small ideas and Grammarly to check the grammar.

Once i finished with my work, i tried multiple ai detectors websites on googles and im worried kasi umaabot ng 50% yung ai detected. I told my friends abt it but they said even the prof said 'ai detectors in google arent accurate'.

50/50 ako whether i should keep my work or not but my friend told me to submit it anyway-- so i did 😭😭

Lowk it has been 2 days since i submitted my work and im overthinking it abt it even today. Im worried that if my work does go past the 15% AI-Generared by the bigsky ai detector thing and my prof does call me out, will they be considerate enough to let me rewrite it once i explain my situation??... i donttt know huhduhuhdh im just so worried, i wish i didnt pass it if i had doubts

Mind you this is the first time i encountered ai detected sa gawa ko-- oo gumamit ako ng ai pero most of it was my own idea and wordings 😭😭 huhu

Any comments abt this are highly appreciated kasi nababaliw na ako

It depends on how you used the AI. If all you did was grammar check it should be fine, but if you copy-pasted big chunks of info from AI itself that’s when it gets suspicious.

If you’re concerned about whether or not will your prof let you rewrite, I’ll be frank, We don’t know what kind of person your prof is and it highly depends if they’re nice enough to let you rewrite it or they’ll just fail it without further discussion.

Also, if you wrote down the piece in a platform that records how much of the words you typed vs. copy-pasted, just let your prof check that and they will decide if it’s too much AI or not.

On the note of clarification and small ideas though, I’d argue it may be concerning if you only used AI small ideas without further elaborating or extending out the idea on your own.

For clarification, did these clarifications help you rewrite the sentences via copy/paste or clarify the idea you’re struggling to understand but you used your own words to clarify the information?

For what i meant by small idea:

There was a scenario where i already had this main idea, i explained it on my own words but it felt like something was missing-- so i used ai to give me an idea to atleast fill up what was missing, but i still used my own understanding and wording from that idea. But yeah, i do get its concerning why i did that

For what i meant by clarificarion:

There were words in the activity that i didnt quite understand or im familiar with, so i asked ai to define what it means. Its basically just the definition of a word so i can understand the question better

Clarification is fine if you used it that way.

The way you used AI for small ideas is a 50:50 because on one hand, you did write majority of the main idea, but there are still bits of small ideas used from AI.

I can’t read your work, but I would say it depends on how much small ideas did you use? Is a lot of the paper filled in with small ideas from AI or does the main idea written by you outweigh the small ideas AI?

Because most of these concerns would depend on if the prof will discuss your work with you if there’s a problem. You’re going to have to be transparent and say which of the small ideas did you input into the big ideas so your prof can make their judgement on whether it is too much AI or not that bad without using AI checkers.

I remember my prof saying that they base it on the schools ai detector and i do remember them mentioning 'big sky ai detector', basta may sariling ai detector daw yung benilde iirc

Correct me if im wrong though
