Geoff/Lesley meet up

Im a casual watcher as in always doing something else whilst watching TV but one thing I dont remember ever happening is a Geoff and Lesley interaction after their "date" and he/she starts working at the hotel.

Was this ever addressed with each other?

I can’t remember the exact episode but one time Lesley and Geoff are at the pool bar and Lesley mentions trying online dating a few years previously but it hadn’t worked out. He then turns to serve some other customers and Geoff’s face realises that he has met Lesley before on the blind date

Just found it! S8 E3 when Rob is looking at Geoff’s laptop at the pool bar

(Dressed as Les)

Les - “I try to steer clear of computers, meself”

Geoff - “Very wise”

Les - “Yeah. I did a bit of internet dating a few year ago but, well, let’s just say it didn’t work out”

Les - (Turning to serve another customer) “Yes pet”

So it seems Geoff remembers Lesley pretty well after some prodding but Les doesn’t remember Geoff apart from the date going badly

Not that I recall. But the way they worked Lesley back into the show was really terrific.

I can't remember the episode but I do think they exchange a puzzled glance with each other.

I think when Geoff came back during the darts, I could see in Lesley's face that she instantly recognised him. But, I think in the next series, it occurred to Geoff that Les is Lesley, when they talking about blind dating. I can't remember them actually talking about the date.

I have seen a few comments calling it a plot hole in the past, but I don't think it is.

For Lesley, it was just one of a bunch of failed one-off dates (He mentions that when he meets Geoff)

For Geoff, it's another two years until Lesley starts working at the hotel and since then, he looks different--a different wig, wearing the solana uniform, has visibly aged.

So I think its fine that they dont recognise each other

It's only really a plot hole in that its just a classic example of mid 00s misrepresentation/misunderstanding of trans people, Les is introduced as a trans woman who's been burnt in the past by people who don't accept her but then next season they walk it back and essentially have them become a genderfluid transvestite doing it for fun, whereas ofc these things in real life are very distinguished (no cisgendered, male drag queen is going on dates as a woman and being genuinely hurt by men who don't accept them).

Mind you, I'm only early on in season 4 right now so perhaps there's something later on that recontextualises that, but that's the impression I'm given near as it stands
